Members of the Lancaster County Photography Meetup Group (www.meetup.com/lancasterphotographers/) were invited to participate in a photo op at the East Broad Top Railroad in Rockhill PA. This was also an opportunity for me to take my electric car on a mini-road trip and check out using a DCFC (DC Fast Charger). Most of our charging happens at home since our day to day travels are pretty short.
My Chevy Bolt EV has a typical max range of about 260 miles. This trip to East Broad Top is about 250 miles round trip. This might suggest that it could be done without stopping for a charge along the way BUT it would be way to close for me. The plan was to stop in Carlisle PA on the way back for a few minutes at a DCFC. This would give me a buffer for the remaining 67 miles leg from Carlisle to Home.
As you’ll see in the video, the charge in Carlisle didn’t quite go as planned turning the trip into an “adventure”.

Here's some shots we did for Derby County Football Club and escape Deign and Print for the stadium shop windows giant size.
DCFC gave us 2 images of the football players (not shot by mackney photography) and asked us and escape to come up with a stylish idea to make the shots more interesting and eye catching for the shop windows.
Mackney and escape went down to the stadium at 11.30pm one night in the week to capture the background stadium at night them photographed the rain and the sky the night after, we combined all the images together.
Hopefully next time we can have some time photographing the players flying through the air.

I drive a 2020 Chevy Bolt EV Premiere and, like most EV owners, typically charge at home. My EV, however, did come with the DC Fast Charge option so it was time to check it out.
A mall some 30 miles away recently installed a bank of Electrify America chargers. I was going to be in the area so this was my chance….

The oft photographed Wembley Arch. Millions of shots of this on Flickr.
Personally, I think most really good architecture is also art and I've tried to process this to make it a bit arty (?). I reckon the structure of the arch is beautiful in its own right (or at least very impressive) and thats what this photo focusses on.

A dual-standard DC fast charger for electric vehicles installed at the edge of the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis. The blue connector is an example of the CHAdeMO standard used by Japanese companies (like with the Nissan Leaf), while the black connector is a Combined Charging System (CCS) plug which is what most other automakers have standardized upon (though there are European and North American variants -- this one is also known as SAE Combo, since it is an extension of the standard North American SAE J1772 connector). This installation is capable of delivering 50kW of direct current.
Pictures from Durham City v Darlington in the Northern League. The match finished in a 4-0 win for Darlington
Who fancied himself as a scorer. With Keogh asleep, he silenced the sheep and buried the ball in the top corner!!
The oft photographed Wembley Arch reflected in the giant glass curtain wall. I have to say Wembley is bloomin impressive!
Taken on the glorius day that THE RAMS won promotion to the Premiership and, obviously, messed aobut with in photoshop to try to make it more pleasant...

To make my life easier and for the drawing to go faster I drew the figure first. Then lightboxed the leaves on. So I could concentrate and not lose my mind trying to draw a million things at once.
Biting off more than I can chew with a short deadline.
6/30/08 - I'm surprised I'm still going through with this. Today I woke up early due to the sun rising, painting my walls yellow. I'm caught in a lovetrap and even though I'm scared, I would follow you into the dark.
I'm terrible with photoshop so this is a bit terrible itself, but the legs are supposed to look moreso ghostly. I took the flatfoot feet from another picture and cloned them in.
