The glove compartment is inaccurately named
And everybody knows it.
So i'm proposing a swift orderly change.
Cause behind its door there's nothing to keep my fingers warm
And all i find are souvenirs from better times
Before the gleam of your taillights fading east
To find yourself a better life.
There's no blame for how our love did slowly fade
And now that it's gone it's like it wasn't there at all
And here i rest where disappointment and regret collide
Lying awake at night (up all night)
When i'm lying awake at night.

Slight sudden outburst ahead. :|
Soooo. I found this girl who takes the same pictures with the same subject, same angle, same words and same song lyrics as mine. Hmm. I don't want to use the word copy but I will go ahead because I can't find any other fitting word right now; I can't say it's inspired or coincidental because it happened way too many times. I don't know how I should feel about this though because really, It's amazing that photography is helping us channel and express what we feel; that we can document the places and things and people and what they mean to us at that particular moment and even ourselves as to how and what we are but hmm, yeah, I just wish she'd find her own rhythm and look at the world through her eyes instead; she'll be surprised about the other things she can toy her imagination with; not just some schtupid lamppost or beat up Chucks. =)
A friend once said that she might have copied the words, or in this case the pictures but she doesn't own the emotions. That is what she's missing out on this. The feel. And you guys know what I mean, yes?
I don't want to be controlled by whatever I'm feeling right now so I won't link her; but maybe I will if she continues and eventually denies it, you know, for a little comparison and contrast. Ahhhhhhh, fuckyeahidk. I'm too old for things like this. Meh.
Wow, that's the longest description I've written for a while, also the most scattered. :O
A section of the old "Pop Side" at the Baseball Ground. It was a seating area but for the last game everybody stood up Not too happy fans as we are losing 1-3 to Arsenal but also the last time ever as it was onto Pride Park next season. The two girls miilng pointing worked in the catering in the pop side concourse and knew me as I was a Steward at the time ( for my sins!)
The regulars may remember this post from one year ago flic.kr/p/2iFWu6v when Ben Gibbard started doing live lockdown shows from home. Last night, one year on, he played what he hopes will be his last and above is a screen grab. As previously it was in aid of local charities, in this instance specifically one close to his heart "Aurora Commons". Later this year he hopes to be able to get on the road to play live outdoor gigs again with the full DCFC line-up.
Maybe I've been missing out on new lockdown tunes? However, this is one of the few I know of. His lyrics are in the YouTube description.

And the news reports on the radio
Said it was getting worse
Cause the ocean air fanned the flame
But I couldn't think there was anywhere I would have rather been
To watch it all burn away
To burn away
But when the sun shines again
I'll pull the curtains and blinds to let the light in.

PLEASE VIEW HERE. IT'S WORTH IT.
Another favorite from yesterday. I'm already contemplating going back there, because even though it's a puddle of freshly melted ice water surrounded by snow, it's a really nice location actually.
The stupid Hunger Games movie comes out this Friday. Ew. =/ Not trying to offend anyone who is excited about it, but I literally have a list of reasons why it will be all wrong and will the ruin the books for anyone who watches it.
BUT, the Avatar: Legend of Korra comes out this Saturday! I am SO excited!
"I once knew a girl
In the years of my youth
With eyes like the summer
All beauty and truth
In the morning I fled
Left a note and it read
Someday you will be loved."

Had the pleasure to work with DCFC again this year. Here's the poster for the band's North American tour going on right now.

♫ I don't recall a single care
Just greenery and humid air
Then Labor Day came and went
And we shed what was left of our summer skin ♫

you'll be taken care of
you'll be given love
you have to trust it
maybe not from the sources
you have poured yours
maybe not from the directions
you are staring at
twist your head around
it's all around you
all is full of love
all around you
all is full of love
you just ain't receiving
all is full of love
your phone is off the hook
all is full of love
your doors are all shut
all is full of love
all is full of love ?

Hey all, sorry for my absence, I’ve been searching for an inspiration because I’m just feeling so scarce with my photos lately. The weather doesn’t help either, it’s been cloudy and rainy and plus I’ve got no times for shooting. I was lucky I could take this photo yesterday, with that yummy light ;)
Anyway, I’ve just got Death Cab’s album (plans) from my best friend who’s studying at Perth. I’ve been craving it for so long. They don’t sell it here (the guy in the cd store even said he doesn’t know death cab, gosh).
Well, it’s totally awesome!
a collage inspired by death cab for cutie lyrics and made using an old/recycled book, bits of paper, a recycled polaroid, and a medical book illustration.

Death Cab again! This is pretty half-assed (the build, not the album). Maybe I'll try again someday (with proper techniques!). This is probably the last thing I'll post for a while, since winter break is over.
I went to my first Beale Street Music Festival last night got to see MGMT and Jason Mraz, both were great! Jason Mraz is one of those few artist that apparently sound better live then on recording. My finals is next week, but luckily i only have one final this semester. I am so happy for the Grizzlies as they advanced to the semi-finals! first time in history of the franchise!
also I am getting excited for the upcoming Death Cab for Cutie album!
have a great weekend everyone!

if I could open my arms
and span the length of the isle of Manhattan,
i'd bring it to where you are
making a lake of the East River and Hudson.
A storm at sea the bow cracked and I was capsizing
And I sunk below where I swore I would never go
If you can't stand in place you can't tell there's walking away
From who remains, who stays, who stays, who stays

You may recognize that title; I use it all the time. It is from "Summer Skin" by Death Cab for Cutie! So, I am slowly trying to catch up on posting my October shots. I actually have one for every day!
This one was taken early morning in Santa Fe as we waited for Pasqual's to open. A rockin' breakfast cafe and highly recommended! Jackie's artwork (in the comments); is the inspiration for the color treatment on this shot. Got a little slider-happy to make it happen!
I apologize for multiple uploads in the next few days to get caught up. Not necessary to comment unless you want to! ~ P.S. I barely my made my flight yesterday; with only seconds to spare! Good news is I had three seats all to myself and was able to stretch out!
Happy Slider Sunday Everyone!!
