With the plethora of medals I have accumulated over the years, most don't mean much unless there is something special about them. This is one of those cases. This medal marks my improvement over the last year of my fencing, as well as the large improvements I have been making over the past few weeks. It is the first time I medaled at a tournament hosted by my club since I changed clubs last September. For me, this is a marker of what I have accomplished recently as well as a stepping stone for what I plan to do.

I remember when the days were long,
