Some colours just defy labels or definition, like this stunning Dahlia bloom.

I've spent way too much of my adult life contemplating this statement.

I missed the first half of the season premiere of 24 last night but was able to catch the second half tonight. At least they always start with the lengthy summary of the previous episode.

The 24 hands theme is partly inspired by Pete's Day 109 shot.

This is my way of "studying" to get my Learner's :) {I haven't even read the whole book yet...}

I think I'm stuck. I don't know how to get out and take great photos. Sigh. Help?

Tigger, my fish, is dying. *tear* I feel so bad for him... he's not eating anymore. And Tweaky, my 1/6 of a hamster, has a tumor on her chest and might die too... It's a fallen world.

Random Fact about me:

I love Hannah Montana. That's probably wrong, but don't hate, and don't judge.

What is this? A Planet? A UFO?

Its a custom-made paperweight that I bought from an artist many years ago. Used close up filters.

Hoping the low-light brings out the vibrant colors in this piece. Enjoy!

Another trip to the park today with the kids and wee Casper!! He seems to enjoy the climbing frame as much as the kids do! He plays around in the park whilst the kids play and when we leave he walks home with us again! I think he might have been a dog in his past life!

This project has been really important to me because although I feel creative, I've never felt particularly artistic. I have all these ideas in my head: things to try, objects to build, scenes to video, stories to write. But I can't draw. I'm not a writer. I never really liked arts and crafts. It's frustrating to have all these possibilities waiting to be realized, but no way to effectively convey them to anyone. I've learned a lot over the last year, and while perhaps I still have a ways to go, I feel like I've finally found a way to recreate some of my ideas in a form that at least approaches their original conception.

Polynesian Resort

Was walking over to the Polynesian from the TTC to do some twilight/sunset shooting when I noticed the setting sun casting some long shadows through the palm trees. I quickly set up and waited for a monorail to pass by :)

Thanks for looking!

You talking to me

We took advantage of it being a nice day today to go for a walk at the Colonial Farm. The composition creates tension for me, I think because the cow is the only item in focus. It is that tension that made me select this photo from the stream of photos I took today.

My 3rd attempt at a photo manipulation.

For Musically Challenged Redemptions Song

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;

None but ourselves can free our minds.

Have no fear for atomic energy,

'Cause none of them can stop the time.

How long shall they kill our prophets,

While we stand aside and look? Ooh!

Some say it's just a part of it:

We've got to fulfil de book.

For FGR and Random Comments...duhhh, this is really hard. But I will comment tomorrow, promise.
