----------------------------------------------------

Because you can't get to every place with the snow blower or plow.

Not really, just a classic Huffy at one of the Sandpiper Coffee Shop. This being a very cycling friendly place, it's an sign to it's customers and that bikes are welcomed.

It was a relaxing first day of the year. My hubby and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary with a quiet dinner and champagne. It was a happy and low key celebration :)

Enjoy the rest of the holiday week dear friends. Be safe!

Explore Front Page! Thank you so much everyone! :)

On the way to wintersports central. I thought I would take the big DSLR but ultimately decided that it was too heavy and too expensive to risk dragging it along. Ironically this is the exact shot I had planned for today and I wouldn't have been able to get the camera out in time to take it.... the phone seems to be ruling this 2015 365 project.

039 :: 365 :: 8th February 2013 {EXPLORED #310}

I've watched 13 PhotoShop videos - thought I should start practicing!!

40/100 - Dreams

"Silhouettes of Subconscious"

With this theme I wanted to portray the way the mind can work itself out when you are dreaming. The brightest and darkest parts of you can come to play in your dreams, as your subconscious tries to sort things out. But generally when we wake, all we will remember are glimpses, silhouettes of those dreams.

These past few days have been challenging. I feel like my work hasn't really been all that good and I feel a little burnt out on this project, but I am hoping that I can power through this week and get some things done before I go to the beach, and then come back rejuvenated and ready to create some new, exciting stuff.

Check out the rest of the project, as well as some extras which didn't make the cut, on my Facebook.

Day 39 ~ 365.2015

Cala in low key

Welcome to the Low Key Week! It was windy and raining outside but I was fearless and desperately wanted to try my first low key shot. I hope the result may please your eyes and it did worth my sufferings :)

under those straight jackets

took me a couple tries to get the hang of it, but then i was like a wood chopping machineeee xD

Well, I have now arrived at the age requiring reading glasses. The need for such slowly arose over the past year and I have accepted the idea and embraced it by purchasing my own cute readers. It is evidenced in the image that I should invest in a lint free cloth.

I was supposed to be sleeping in and relaxing this morning but I woke up to the light creeping into my room. Not sure if it happens to anyone else but I compulsively had to grab something, anything and take a picture of it bathing in the morning sunrise. Have a wonderful day!

In the DAY 39 (29/08/2017), penultimate day of this long summer holiday in Trentino, I just did a small walk along the path, near the river/creek “Avisio”, that link some parts of this valley.

I used a Color Efex Pro preset called Polaroid Transfer. I like that ridiculous shade of aqua that it made the sky:)

My 365s have been sucking bad lately. But they'll get better I promise. Don't give up on me!

This is a long exposure shot of Pulteney Weir and Bridge in the Georgian City of Bath, UK.

I was hoping for some early morning sunshine but that was just me being eternally opportunistic!

Day thirty-nine.

Sorry. Boring photo. Cool eye.

This morning my grandma's alarm didn't go off so we woke up late for church. Luckily, we made it on time. After church we went to eat out with my cousins Krissy and Meg. Then me and Kriss went to edit and put together her save the date photo. She loves editing photos just as much as I do! We were getting overly excited. :D

I'm having so much fun this summer. I love it here.

In 1984 I received my BFA and I prepared to go to graduate school in Illinois. Life takes strange turns, and I ended up homeported in Yokosuka Japan in the US Navy. All of my artwork was crated and stored in a mini warehouse. In 1992 I left the Navy to finally attend graduate school. I emptied the warehouse, but kept my artwork crated. In 1993, I decided to put away my paintbrushes for good. I had decided to become a nurse.

I needed a place to store the artwork. I contacted a friend who owned a large department store and asked if I could store a few crates in a corner of his warehouse. No problem he said, so I moved the crates to the warehouse and went on with my life.

A week ago, my friend called me and informed me that the warehouse was slated for demolition. I almost told him to just bulldoze my artwork with the building. But fate took a turn and I had a day off work to go retrieve my belongings. You can see a few of the crates in front of the blue windows. It took two SUVs filled to capacity to deliver the crates to my studio. Now, I need to decide whether to open that part of my life again.

One thing I like to do is work on puzzles when I need some time to relax. It allows me to keep my mind of off work and what else is usually ailing me that day. I have figured all of them out except for the one in the middle. I just can't seem to figure out how to open it!!! It reminds me of something I have seen before but I just can't place my finger on it!

Spanish tip of the day: The n in habanero is just a normal n – not like in the word jalapeño. Spanish speakers will laugh at you if you spell it with ñ. Just like they do when one says “tamale” instead of “tamal” when singling out a morsel from a dish of tamales.

Day 39 of 365

This shot was taken for both 365 Days and Take A Class With Dave & Dave. This asignment was to take a shot full of vivid colors. I have a T-Shirt matching each color needed, so a little cloning and ta-da, a rainbow of vivid colors worn by an army of me!

a7rii + Agfa Solinar 39/2.8 (Agfa Compact)

Some colours just defy labels or definition, like this stunning Dahlia bloom.
