Day 38/365: 2015
My friend asked me to do a photoshoot of her little granddaughter today. My friend knitted the gorgeous little headband. I asked permission from the baby's mother and she was quite happy for me to post this photo.

Day 38 out of 365.
This is how I spend most Sundays, give or take the aerobics. Always barefooted, romping around my yard, with or without my dogs. Enjoying the last days of warmth, but excited for leaves changing and chill air -- sweater weather, my favorite.
Tomorrow is September. Summer went by fast. After tomorrow (Labor day), no more wearing white ... so they say. I hate that rule. Fuck it, I'm wearing white!

“We’re Here!” -- showing everyone our Office Spaces. I’ve been working from home since I got an email on March 15th telling me not to come to the office until further notice. So far no “further notice” is in sight. Approximately 80% of our company is working from home spaces like this.
I can’t complain. I’m safe and comfortable and I’ve had some interesting little projects to work on. Still – well, you know. Sigh.
38/365 -Around the house - Day 38

Shot this through the falling snow, playing around with the 'panorama' setting.
There must be a learning curve... this shot has stutters.
It's also cropped and tinted.
Another morning off work so I decided I'd get up early to capture another sunrise pic. On my way to the reservoir I wasn't too hopeful as there weren't many clouds in the sky, but, as I arrived, the cloud began to rise over the hills and the sky filled with colour. This, mixed with the gorgeous drive back home through Brecon, made the stupidly early start well worth it.
Day 38: For today's shot, I pulled out my trusty HP 12C calculator. Introduced 30 years ago, it remains standard equipment for finance professionals around the world today. As they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I just love this calculator. I guess I'm a finance geek at heart.
Today's Post finds me in the court yard of where I live. Looking at one of the trees with #Nemo in full swing. It's not as bad as the news was saying it would be, but it's still snowing so we'll see how much we get! Day38/365 #project365 - Nemo
The theme for Day 38 was something white. This is powdered sugar being siftted from above. I love the way the trail of white looks like it lights up.
Thank goodness ... I've now managed to catch up the backlog of uploads, so I'm now up to date.
Apologies to all my Flickr friends for being MIA these past few days, but as a wise Flickr friend commented ... life can sometimes get in the way of Flickr ;-)
I shall be catching up on all your photostreams asap :-)

Abstract from driving down the road holding my camera during a long exposure. It was much safer since I was the passenger this time, not the driver.

Happy Chinese New Year!
*I missed taking a pic on Day 38 of the project and so I've decided to use one of the many pics I took on day 37. There was some discussions earlier in the day with a friend who is also doing Project 365 and he suggested taking two pics on day 39. I hope I'm not bending the rules too much by 'borrowing' a pic shot a before. Any comments on my decision is certainly welcomed!
Speaking of misses, the middle 'princess' miss-aligned the buttons of her coat.
So, yesterday I managed to shoot the sunrise. Today I went out to shoot the sunset. Just as cold but a different perspective. There were some lovely colours reflected in the canal and I was trying to expose to get the sky right, and manage to pull out the reflection of the tree in the canal too. This was not so easy and I ended up needed the help of gradient filters in Lightroom to pull it out. Anyway, I am quite pleased with the result.
Since January I have had an interest in photography and I am amazed at how quickly it has begun to rule my life. I just want to be amazing!
I'm trying to teach myself everything there is to know - I am glad that I now have a proper hobby - my first as an adult I think - and I hope it will continue to be for the rest of my life.
