on black?

SOOC.

my day was started with a bad news about my university life but now everything seems to be allright.

I spent all the afternoon studying and I got a terrible headache, and I'm quite sure I'm going to have my period, but thanx god it's saturday tomorrow :D

and I'm waitin'for my 50mm at last! now I had to find a name for him. any suggestion?

Day 22 - Late shot today and a fairly quick one at that.

I took this picture with my old phone, which I use to think took terrible pictures. But I realized that any camera can take great pictures if you use it correctly. I used the steady hand technique in this picture and the editing I did makes this picture look unreal. This type of editing is somewhat common in many of the photos that I take. It takes a lot of time and patience because you have to draw detailed lines with the lasso tool carefully and making the saturation go all the way down to make it black and white around the leaf. I also used the texture technique in the detail in her hands and in the leaf, but I tried to make most of the detail show in her hand to balance out with the color change that I was making.

30 day challenge Day22

Visiting my spot a little later in the day this time around. I like how they look they're going to start whispering to each other as soon as I turn my back.

For We're Here - January = the month

Everything in the garden still looks quite dead, but the trusty Helleborus doesn't mind -- it's happily starting to bloom!

December Diary, Day22 of 31: I made a whole bunch of my favorite gingerbread cookies today. Tomorrow I am going to decorate them ( I run out of ingredients for icing) .

Thought I'd add some color today...Enjoy!

That's my daughter's painting in the background.

Thank you for your visits, faves and comments.

CC welcomed.

This combination is exactly the same as Me-Made-May14 Day22. Atmosphere will change in the material, dressmaking is interesting.

The little guy likes to raid the kitchen. I am surprised how shiny the fridge looks in this picture, too.

Day 5 of the 1 object (crystal ball) photos.

Week 3 theme: Multiple photos of the same object. Yep it is sitting on a treadmill. Doesn't everyone use a treadmill the same way? Seriously, it gets used nearly every day.

Pentax DIC Dec 2017 Day 22

What a horrible day.

Jack, Louis & I decided to venture out in the car and went shopping in the closest town to us, which was about a 30 minute drive away. When we set off to drive home after lunch the TomTom wouldn’t work and someone had taken the paper map out of the car. Where we are staying in France is down a little country road, nestled within some other country roads and a few barns. I didn’t even know the village name! Still, we managed to work out the general direction to travel in, when ‘ping’ the petrol light came on, so while we were driving around aimlessly, we were also looking for a petrol station, which of course there wasn’t one because we were on tiny country roads. I was panicking so much that we would never get back and that we were going to break down in the middle of nowhere and have no phone signal to ring anyone. Luckily Louis was asleep but we had to turn off the air-con to try and reserve some petrol so it was just yuck. Eventually, with only a few drops of petrol left, we found ourselves back at the house.

That was just the morning.

The evening came and we got into an argument with another family staying here. I couldn’t sleep from the anger I had inside and everything kept whirring round and round in my head so I sat on my computer looking on the internet trying to find a flight home.

I know this shot is wonky, it’s intentional but not. The only thing not covered in an inch of insects was a tyre leaning against the wall, which was a little(!) slanted as a ‘tripod’. I tried straightening the shot in post, but it crops too much of it out. So it’s staying wonky. To highlight the higgledy-piggledy-ness of my day.

Hehe, hello everybody! Had no inspiration for today's photo, and was doing my makeup with my iPod on my usual playlist, when this song came on ^__^

So I randomly kissed a piece of paper, wrote the lyrics, and took some photos, haha. Which is completely random, I know. I had another idea but my ridiculously large nose ruined it, lolol.

Hope you all had a lovely Monday!

These actions are by Halah. I'm not sure on the editing here, but you know. ^__^

And just in case you can't read it, it says 'I'm gonna be his first and last kiss', from the song Fashion Of His Love by Lady Gaga :-D

Napoleon Bonaparte does not necessarily have our approval but one must give him one redeeming feature.. he was an avid sheep spotter!

Like noted sheep spotters Charlemagne and Hannibal before him, he didn’t feel that he had achieved anything of importance if he wasn’t able to spot the holy grail of sheep spotters, the mythical alpine flying sheep.

Napoleon let all matters of state rest and travelled with his army into the alps to lure the famed sheep out of their cloudy hideouts.

He would not have been able to spot one, but he was lucky enough to bring along a wagonload of his favourite cookies, some of which he kept famously inside his vest.

Attracted by the yummy smell one sheep suddenly fell out of the sky, landing on the cookie wagon and quickly disappearing into some hidden crack in the rocks with as many cookies as it could carry.

No matter, Monsieur Bonaparte was as happy as a clam and immediately called his court painter to immortalize the occasion.

Being a humble man he made sure, that the sheep was the centre of the painting… at least he said so.. the painter surely just misunderstood ;-)

I wanted to have something a little more abstract today ... and it turned out to be a lot more abstract ... but that's OK :-)

The leaves are the print of my shower curtain. The lighting technique came from Fred, who suggested using a speedlight in a baggy for my boudoir shower shoots - yes, I did do one, back in August!

Strobist: SB-600 in sealed plastic bag at 1/2 power, directly behind subject and pointing at camera, fired by Cactus V2s.

*Trying something different with today's shot. It's unintentionally OoF, but I kinda liked it.

Rainy day, I played with paper. Thanks to Ricardo for the idea and the link.

I titled it that because this pic reminds me of the cover of The best of Leonard Cohen album and that fact gives me something to write in here..;

So my two-year-old isn't always perfect...

Trying something abstract today.

The early bird gets the worm! I'd say the 365 photographer gets day 22 by having his equipment at the right place at the right time. The idiom is a slight bit more compact, oh well! After the nearly last minute upload of day 21 I found myself ready for a beer, but not before a shower. Contrary to what I may have been told, I still felt like I had a slight smell of barn yard, as I was nearly laying in it just 2 hours before. I jumped in Erika's shower and washed away any evidence of my closest encounter with farm life to date. Erika's sister Lety was in town for a wedding and decided it would be great to visit her sister for the night, she was correct. read more about this shot and the project here
