Light traffic for this time of the day.......one of those shots that I almost didn't turn around for. Sure glad I did though.

This is a picture of one of the many bulletin boards at UC Davis. I took it when I went to visit my friend there last weekend!
This picture isn't very exciting, but I like the colors of all the different flyers (:
btw, it'd be really cool if somebody were my 100th comment on my print exchange/giveaway. wink wink ;D
Snow. It seemed such a shame to waste the opportunity to get a snowy shot. The trouble was, down in town there was none and up in the hills there was lots. I told myself that going up into the hills would not be sensible, bit I wouldn't listen.
In the end I had very little time for photos as I had to dig my car out using the bucket and spade in the boot when I got stuck. My need to be prepared in the eventuality that I had to make a sandcastle really paid off.
It rarely snows in Manigotapi but when it does, we taxidermy the flakes with ice cold vodka.

I left work an hour early tonight to try and get home before the snow had a chance to settle again!
I took the short walk to Brook Way to hopefully capture some of the snow falling - I failed :(
but i was happy with this long exposure of a bus driving past :)
Looking forward to my journey in the snow to Bath tomorrow for a 7am start!

Let the rain kiss you;
Let the rain beat upon your head
With silver liquid drops;
Let the rain sing you a lullaby.

Day 22/365
Not sure what was going on in my head tonight - left the camera (or the lens rather) in Manual Focus, rather than Auto and forgot to actually focus (which you have to do when it's in manual, of course)... Couldn't be arsed to drag everything back out into the garden to try again though once I realised!
I probably shouldn't relate all of this - if I hadn't said anything I might've got away with claiming artistic license! lol.
Picking up my new car tomorrow, hence my mind is elsewhere :-)
Parka enlisted as a last minute prop.
lighting: 580EXII to camera right (1/2 power), 430 EX on floor to left (1/4 power). Fired with eBay value triggers.

The waves keep on coming and we can't escape
But if we ever get lost on our way
The waves will guide you through another day"

Day 22/365
The fog crept in again this morning so off I went camera in hand to the Church just round the corner and this little chap was nestled in amongst the frozen grass just reaching above, so down on my hands and knees I went for Day 22's photo.
Thanks for all comments and faves they are all greatly appreciated and have helped me get another Explore #206 :o)
