Playing with trouble.

Cleaning you temple

Not judging the process

You see others struggle

And you know you struggle

You feel with your heart

And pain occurs

Over and over

But don't stuff it down

Pour out your feelings

Be you

And trust

That love is always there

As I mentioned in an earlier entry, the local runners are very keen on running in shorts, even when it's freezing. I'm not brave enough to switch to shorts immediately. Instead, I'm changing things in small steps. So I created these holes on my beloved tights: it was a premeditated action and not just a stupid accident. In a couple months, I'll be running in shorts!

My husband has been telling me for years that if you do something for 21 days, you will change, start or break a habit. He's a manager at his job so he's always going to management seminars and taking mgmt. classes.

So I decided to look it up. Here's what I found out:

I can say that on Day 21 of painting everyday and taking a photo everyday (not to mention eating healthy and exercising) I am starting to look forward each day to all 4 things. I find myself thinking about what I want to photograph tomorrow or paint tomorrow or where I want to go exercise. Do I want to play the drums for a few hours or go take the dog for a 2 mile walk? I definitely can see a change happening.

I will revisit this issue on Day 40...changing a bad habit to a good one.

**Ironically enough, I could only find the number 21 to photograph on alcohol, lottery tickets and at the liquor store.

Day 21 - Murder of an Apple

My aunt, Jeannette, and her husband, Charles are visiting from Pennslyvania. Charles is a baker and treated us to homemade buttermilk pancakes for dinner tonight. I had to get a picture of this gorgeous stack of pancakes!
