This Scania R520 is owned by Loane Transport of Kesh, County Fermanagh.
Loane Transport was established in 1928 by Victor A. Loane with one Sentinel wagon. Today the Loane fleet is 100 vehicles strong and is still a family run business.

This enormous plant is giant hogweed, it can grow over 10 feet high, if the sap gets on to skin it can result in really nasty blisters. Once in bloom it looks beautiful (photo in comments) although the pods look rather strange but fascinating
Had about 10 minutes to get my shot of the day after the first location didn't work out.
Today's challenge was "Groceries"... and it took a while before I got this idea. But, I had about 10 minutes between work, going home to change and off to play cricket. Stopped by to get some water and Gatorade.. and got some quick shots. tried to keep the camera as steady as possible and pushed the cart.. :-)
Don't know if I passed the challenge, but am glad that I at least attempted something different.
So what do you do when you have no clue what to do for your daily photo...you snoop around Flickr to see what your awesome Friends have been up to. Thats when I saw this one and I figured it might work. Yes I know I am not as pretty as she is and the end result is no where as good as hers but it gave me something to try and now my Day172 is done...heh.
Thanks for the inspiration Larissa :-)
Shot on iPhone 5.
It was a wet and cold morning this morning. I liked the water drops on this handrail at Bowen Hills station - but I knew I wanted someone walking down the path to make the shot. So, I pointed my phone at the rail and stood there for a few minutes. I must have looked like I REALLY like hand rails.
In other news, I'm jumping on a plane tomorrow. That's not unusual for me. What is unusual is that it's not a work trip - the family - Anna, Meg and my parents in law _ are going to Sydney for a week. That means easy 365 shots every day!
I'm taking my Stable Table with me so I'll still be able to sit in our cool harbourside appartment on cold winter nights bonding with the flickr flock. Looking forward to the week and spending more time with you guys.

Another from the files..miss taking care of them!
The sister & I went on a shopping spree today - so exhausted! Shopping isn't my thing (even though I'm a huge girly girl..the shopping thing just doesn't work for me)!
Day 172 Enter summertime with New England lobsters and cold hard cider.
One of the three we cooked today tried to escape and scared the ever lovin' bejesus outta me.

For Rogues in movement and motion.
I have fallen behind in my 52 weeks project somehow. I have taken a self portrait for every week but last week it was for my 365 as is this photo. Maybe I'll do it a little more informally rather than a separate photo each week... Anyway, I had been neglecting the Rogues somewhat in recent weeks so played today with a bit of head shaking. Now I need to go sit down, feeling a bit woozy....
These are my lovely new tights ... I love bright colours so they caught my eye & they have a great pattern too.
Of course today was meant to be gone fishing ... but I had already taken & uploaded my shot .. doh!
Oh man...my computer has been at the repair shop all day. Had to replace the hard drive. It is screaming fast now!!

For the Take a class with Dave & Dave group, and for the 365 days group, day 172, and for those that dance like they mean it.
Assignment 3. Dance. A wonderfully visual, high energy activity. I expect this one to be a real challenge because just like dancing itself, it sounds easy but getting a good coherent image will require creativity and forethought.
Not only do I dance (ha), I'm a geek, check out my blog.

June 21, 2015: 172/365 (2729/2992)- Saw this guy floating around Gator Lake this afternoon, and when he saw us he swam over closer. Guess he was just seeing if we would offer him some snacks. Diane, Rebekah, and I went out to shoot some photos together; kind of a Fathers Day thing for me.
Today we had a lovely day visiting old but new friends. Ralph and I have been in touch on Flickr for around 3 and a half years and today we (finally) got our families together. So on Fathers Day, here are the fathers:
Ralph - ruptured achilles tendon from a hard tennis training session
Will - 4 weeks after a rotator cuff repair from a skiing injury.
BOYS!
(we had fun 90/215)
During the summer, the Penticton Channel fills with people on various floating devices. The high waters warnings and the impact on tourism are clear. An empty channel like this, even at sunset, is a rare sight.
FGR invades Collaborations and Homemade Signs. Gracie collaborated with Basil, his owner ApplesInMyBra This was really fun and made me break out some ps skills that I haven't used in a while - awesome pick! Basil's version is here. Thanks for playing with ED!

Day 172/365
I've seen a number of pictures of this giant disco ball among photos by my Flickr contacts, so I wanted to go see it myself. Being billed as the "world's largest disco ball," it's part of the Luminato arts festival that Toronto has been hosting for several years now. You can read more about it in this BlogTO post here.
This is my choice for today's shot. I liked the straight lines of the buildings in the background contrasted with the curves of the disco ball.
My son Alex has been in love with Volkswagen Beetles ever since he was a child and now he drives one.
