Into the Light - Day 172 - Year 2022

------------------------------------------------

Visited Stevens-Coolidge House and Gardens today in North Andover, Massachusetts and caught the sun's reflection shining behind this solitary Lily in this tiny pond. Straight out of the camera, no post-processing.

This is a common sparrow in the Davis Mountains of West Texas.

For my ongoing bird-a-day project for 2017.

HAPPY SUMMER!

Note: this little lives in our back yard in and around our Roman well. I am happy that I finally got a photo of him. He's eyeing a slug next to him.

ODC1 A day in my life for 06.21.13, and every other day, I take Natasha for a walk. Today we went 4 miles, and She really appreciated Her watering hole!

Day 172 ~ 365: the "2013 edition

and sat around watching ANTM reruns all day....

NOT - I cleaned house. I know, not very exciting....but necessary.

FGR- Bullshit

I am so exhausted. But I can walk barefoot in my house. It was gross!

I had to turn the fountain off because the house finches didn't like getting splashed. The American goldfinch looks a bit disappointed. Birds...

And to enjoy photography to the fullest, the key is to have a balanced stream :)

Have a good one dear friends!!

The pea plants that survived are doing well. Jack would have had options...

Oil and Water - Abstract No.5

I am determined to master 'Oil and Water' before 31st December :-)

Best to be in the shade when it's 33o! Loving summer ☀️ 🇬🇧

Working from home together rocks. ;-)

Through the magic of the internet!

I ain’t a doll, this ain't a dollhouse

project 365: day 172

I was really disappointed in myself. I was sitting on the couch thinking... This is the first time ever that I haven't wore anything green on St. Patty's day... I then got an itch on my hip bone... looked down and low and behold I had green underwear on. Damn, I'm good.

A photo of the main foyer/hall of the Natural History Museum in South Kensington, London.

I bought this at the museum shop in Chicago.

Just a cherry tomato on my wet BBQ's shelf. Move along.

I was hoping to capture something more representative of the solstice, like a bonfire, a pagan ritual or even a wicked sunset... but none came to pass, and I had to revert to my safety shot taken much earlier in the day.

20230621_9177_R62-313 Pukeko eating grain (172/365)

At the small jetty at Horseshoe Lake

Most people take bread (naughty - bad for birds) to feed the birds but whoever was here before I got here had sprinkled some type of grain (good) and the birds (4 pukekos and several ducks) were eating it.

I was going to go for a whole different thing here. I had planned to set up the camera, blow the seeds in the wind and take the "new" flowers being taken off into the unknown . . . but as I was setting up my camera, Tootie came into the shot and ate my subject. LOL. So, this is my "new."

This was cute anyway :-)

Just a quick shot on my way back home.

This is my next picture for my 365 project.

We were late planting the squash this year but they are starting to produce.

No. The blues are because you're getting fat or it's been raining too long. You're just sad, that's all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you're afraid, and you don't know what you're afraid of. Don't you ever get that feeling?

The Columbine flowers are gone, but this morning in the garden, I noticed this seed head staring at me, so here's its photo!

Many of my flickr friends have been dealing with some difficult issues lately. Grief. Depression. Missed opportunities. Rock bottoms. Brick walls. Uncertainty. And the ghosts of the past making late night calls.

I wish I could catch you all midfall and set you down gently.

I wish I could chase the ghosts from beneath your beds and make them go away.

I wish I could wrap you all in bubble wrap to protect you from the hard edges of life.

Mañana empieza la Primavera, y todo esta tomando color. Y todo quiere volver a nacer. Pero con agua el color brilla mas.
