Had some lighting fun using only a Streamlight ProTac HL flashlight (750 lumens) and my Canon R5 C with Sigma 40mm Art lens set to autofocus to follow me.
Stills pulled from 8K raw video.
ISO 800, F4.0, 3400K WB. 8K RAW LT codec.
Colored in Davinci Resolve, but didn't do much other than pull exposure a little bit and subtract some blue to warm it up just a tiny bit.
Zero added sharpening. This lens is... insane.

This was a long one. x18 zooms!
I had fun creating this video. There are a couple glitches, but I hope as I learn more, I can learn to fix this in future videos.

For this shot I wanted to apply a filmic emulation treatment to the DNG using Davinci Resolve to see if I could get the fp to feel a bit more like one of my Kodak 250D/ 500T film scans in terms of film attributes compared to digital capture.
This look is the end result of hours spent matching up grain appearance, resolution, and halation to my film scans. I'm continuing to refine the process to make it better over time.

Went for a "David Fincher" type of aesthetic with the range compression and overall low exposure look of the hallway. It appeared about three times as bright in reality. But where's the fun in bright images? :)
Metered at 500 and pushed +1 in development by Lumens Photo Lab. Two small lamps were on behind us on the couch to prevent her shadowed side from going to black. Not much done in Resolve other than removing some blue in the shadows and a bit of contrast.
Started learning Da Vinci Resolve and revisited this sunrise as I prefer to learn on something that matters ... it's far from perfect but I'm already happier with it than I've been using other suites...

So far got a Mac Pro 12-core with 24GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5770 for user interface, Quadro 4000 GPU for rendering realtime effects and Blackmagic DeckLink HD Extreme 3D Plus for outputting to tape or color grading monitor. System is coming a long nicely.
Took an evening stroll down Peachtree St. in Atlanta to take Portra 800 for a spin. Colored in Davinci Resolve.
