Dave Matthews Band at Sleep Train Ampitheater in Chula Vista California. Gary Clark Jr was the warm up band. Gary joined DMB for All Along the Watch Tower.
Dave is an American who works for ECC and has been in EOD for a long time. ECC are the company that sub-contracted G4S to do the clearance on Bagram Airfield. Dave provides us with advice on what is expected from us. Working on a US military base is different to what we are used to so this proves quite vital at times.
He's also a very nice bloke to work with.

East Palo Alto | May 6, 2023 - Dave Muffly, Board Certified Master Arborist and former Canopy board and staff member, leads the Teen Urban Foresters on a tour of the sound wall, sharing the history of the East Palo Alto Tree Initiative, his experience designing this ambitious project, and how this humble Canopy planting informs larger-scale projects.
Sixteen years ago, Canopy launched the East Palo Alto Tree Initiative by planting close to 900 trees along the Highway 101 sound wall in partnership with the City of East Palo Alto and Cal Fire. These drought-tolerant trees — planted on four stretches of the sound wall along East and West Bayshore road, totaling 2.1 miles of roadway between San Antonio and Willow — have increasingly filtered particulate pollution and noise from the busy highway traffic and greatly benefited the health of nearby residents.

New Zealand rock legend Dave McArtney passed away on 16th April 2013.
Guitarist/singer/songwriter, he will be forever known for the Hello Sailor song "Gutter Black".
Associated with the bands Hello Sailor, The Pink Flamingos & The Legionnaires as well as his own solo material.

Not exactly a photo but I found this piece of paper I cut out of the SF phonebook 20 years ago and just scanned it.
I moved to SF in 87. So this is my 20th year here in the city and I have seen a lot of changes during that time. I drove my motorcycle across country and after a short stay in SoCal ended up here. Looking through the phone book and seeing my name on a Motorcycle shop may have contributed on my choice to stay. Unfortunately I didn't actually make it out to that shop until the fall of 87. That Dave Golden had just passed away and the shop was preparing to close, so I never had the oppurtunity to meet him.
dave, ever patient, getting beaten again and again..and again. ross and i were taking turns. He's not used to being beaten...but he's learning.
