As I learnt from online databank of the Albertina, the atelier worked under that address from 1863 to 1870.
The reverse looks not very typical of the period - very unique, like a modern, Art Déco design!
(The photographer failed to retouch the stand-base on the left...)

Fényképész: J. L. Wallner, Photographie du Nord
Leopoldstadt (Lipótváros, Bécs egyik kerülete), Práter utca 19, bejárat a Cirkusz utca 2. felől.
1860-1874-ig működött több helyen is Bécsben.
J. Ariadhitya Pramuhendra (b. 1984 in Indonesia) is an Indoensian artist who is famous for his realistic black and white charcoal drawings. And it is easy to see why — from afar I had thought that it was a black and white photograph mainly because of the way he depicts lights and shadows with deep emotion.
Titled “The Forgotten Robe,” a catholic priest is seen pondering at a moment of regrets. He is known for appropriating famous art works while replacing himself as the central figure as he explores the inner struggles of the being facing himself, the social order or the moral dictates.
I rarely see charcoal works these days, so it definitely left a strong mark in my databank. Yet another Indonesian artist — only in ABHK.

While the Sugi may be small in stature they have a big reputation as the premier arms dealers in the galaxy. Many Sugi wear “power suits” with four giant insectoid legs that more than double their height and make them physically imposing. On Utapau, a group of Sugi, led by Endente, attempt to get back a giant kyber crystal in the possession of the separatists.

Following the defeats at the hands of Unicron (TF Movie) and the the Predacons (Call of the primals) The dinobots start to show signs of mutiny in the ranks of the Dinobots. Slag and Sludge question if Grimlock is truly the strongest one there is. Before a battle for a shift of power can begin with their ranks, they are interupted by one of the few Autobots all the Dinobots trust, Wheelie. He informs Grimlock that Gnaw, Wheelie's pet Sharticon went haywire destroyed a small Cybertronian fair, and commendered a shuttle and left for the Quintesson planet! In an attempt to regain control Grimlock decrees that the Dinobots will go to the Quinteson planet and retrieve Gnaw. The other dinobots are leary, but Wheelie's excited cheers about not only returning to his home planet and saving his pet/friend sway them to follow Grimlocks plan. Not being known for their piloting skills, Grimlock, Wheelie, and the Dinobots find Scattershot in the Autobot hanger and convince him to deploy them on the Quintesson planet for a recon mission. Once on the planet, they find that things are amiss. A lone Quintesson looking to reclaim the power that was usurped from them via Hot Rod, Kup, and the Dinobots has initiated Protocol: Frenzy, a program designed to reboot all the Sharticons and send them on a seek and detroy mission throughout the cosmos. Millions of them! Once on the planet, the dinobots are immediately attacked and their ship is over run and literally devoured. The Dinobots and Scattershot fight valiantly, but the sheer numbers of the Sharticons is too great and they are over run. In the midst of the battle Wheelie is searching for the spark of Gnaw, and while doing so is mortally wounded by some Sharticons forcing the heroes to retreat and regroup in Wheelies former hideaway on the planet. Defeated and with no way off the planet or to call reenforcements, their fate seems doomed. Slag says the Dinobots would crush the Sharticons with stronger leader! The fight that started on Cybertron continues in Wheelie's bunker. But in their weakened state, the battle is over shortly as Scattershot states this is madness, you are a TEAM! Scattershot states that if the other Technobots were there, they'd have a fighting chance with Computron. Then the as Grimlock surveys the bunker he sees Swoop holding the dying Wheelie, but also notices that Wheelie has scavenged parts and pieces from the left of parts of the various "residenst" of the planet. "me Grimlock say we, Dinobots ARE a team, and Dinobots shall save the day!" He looks at Scattershot. "You Scattershot will make Dinobots combine" We will be the strongest. We Will crush all those who stand in our way." "But thats... thats... INSANE" Scattershot states, thinking about the sheer destruction all of their powers combined would unleash on this planet, let alone the universe "...but what other choice do we have."Slag and Sludge have enough of following BORING Grimlock" We rather die on Shark planet befor...."Enough!!!!" Swoop says while holding the almost lifeless Wheelie. "Grimlock is dinobot, we are dinobots, he is leader, WE follow Grimlock. Friend Wheelie need our help" All the while Scattershot has surveyed and scan the items into his databanks, and scans Wheelie's body and all of the dinobots..."And help him we will Swoop"

This vintage Kenner Snaggletooth was supposed to represent the character Takeel in the Star Wars A New Hope cantina scene. However, it actually is a representation of the Zutton/Zutmore Snaggletooth from the Star Wars Holiday Special.
Several mistakes were made when Kenner created this figure. Firstly, Lucasfilm mistakenly sent a picture of the Snaggletooth from the Star Wars Holiday Special instead of A New Hope. Second, the pic was a headshot and was black and white. This led to Kenner creating the infamous tall, blue Snaggletooth. After noticing the error, Lucasfilm sent a color picture of Snaggletooth, however they sent another picture of the Holiday Special Snaggletooth and not the A New Hope Snaggletooth. So Kenner made the character short and in a red suit which means that we have a vintage figure based on a character from the Star Wars Holiday Special.
In 2001, Hasbro created the Zutton figure and specifically said it was from the Holiday Special, thereby finally correcting the whole Snaggletooth identity crisis.
You can see the explanation on StarWars.com's Databank here.

We came back down the mountain on one of the Purgatory Ski Area skilifts.
Durango Mountain Resort, Colorado.
Durango Mountain Resort, also known by its former name Purgatory, is a ski resort located in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado, 25 miles north of the town of Durango. It was originally opened in 1965 and offers 85 trails, including 2 terrain parks, the Paradise Freestyle Arena and Pitchfork Terrain Garden. It has 11 ski lifts, including one six-person "Flying Couch" and one high speed quad lift. Average annual snowfall is 260 inches per year, and artificial snow is produced on approximately one-fifth of the mountain. The elevation at the summit is 10,822 feet, with a vertical drop of 2,029 feet.
The name Purgatory comes from a 1776 Spanish Expedition led by Silvestre Vélez de Escalante. Several Spanish explorers traveling on a nearby river were lost. Their bodies were never found and the other explorers believed that the souls of the lost men would be relegated to Purgatory.
The Purgatory Ski Area got its name from the miners of the 1890s. The base of the ski area is an area once called Purgatory Flats. When miners were trying to get from Durango to the prosperous mines in the Silverton area they had to pay $.50 to use the toll road. Miners who couldn't afford the toll were stuck in the area which became known as Purgatory Flats because they were stuck in a position of Limbo. They couldn't afford to get up the mountain but can't see themselves quitting and going down when so close. (Wikipedia)

This is the highly prized King Bolete mushroom in cross section. The cap is the most prized and edible. The docents said that the "sponge" is edible but has a weird texture and is an acquired taste. This shows how the "sponge" differs from the "gills" that are on most mushrooms.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boletus_edulis
Prized as an ingredient in various foods, B. edulis is an edible mushroom held in high regard in many cuisines, and is commonly prepared and eaten in soups, pasta, or risotto. The mushroom is low in fat and digestible carbohydrates, and high in protein, vitamins, minerals and dietary fibre. Although it is sold commercially, it is very difficult to cultivate. Available fresh in autumn in Central, Southern and Northern Europe, it is most often dried, packaged and distributed worldwide. Keeping its flavour after drying, it is then reconstituted and used in cooking. B. edulis is one of the few fungi sold pickled. The fungus also produces a variety of organic compounds with a diverse spectrum of biological activity, including the steroid derivative ergosterol, a sugar binding protein, antiviral compounds, antioxidants, and phytochelatins, which give the organism resistance to toxic heavy metals.
Boletus edulis, commonly known as penny bun, porcino or cep, is a basidiomycete fungus, and the type species of the genus Boletus. Widely distributed in the Northern Hemisphere across Europe, Asia, and North America, it does not occur naturally in the Southern Hemisphere, although it has been introduced to southern Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Several closely related European mushrooms formerly thought to be varieties or forms of B. edulis have been shown using molecular phylogenetic analysis to be distinct species, and others previously classed as separate species are conspecific with this species. The western North American species commonly known as the California king bolete (Boletus edulis var. grandedulis) is a large, darker-colored variant first formally identified in 2007.
The fungus grows in deciduous and coniferous forests and tree plantations, forming symbiotic ectomycorrhizal associations with living trees by enveloping the tree's underground roots with sheaths of fungal tissue. The fungus produces spore-bearing fruit bodies above ground in summer and autumn. The fruit body has a large brown cap which on occasion can reach 35 cm (14 in) in diameter and 3 kg (6.6 lb) in weight. Like other boletes, it has tubes extending downward from the underside of the cap, rather than gills; spores escape at maturity through the tube openings, or pores. The pore surface of the B. edulis fruit body is whitish when young, but ages to a greenish-yellow. The stout stipe, or stem, is white or yellowish in colour, up to 25 cm (10 in) tall and 10 cm (3.9 in) thick, and partially covered with a raised network pattern, or reticulations.

T.J.A. Boers.
Wegens:

Generaal-Majoor Nicolaas Theodorus Carstens, geb. Groningen 4-1-1886, ovl.

www.unithistories.com/officers/persons_dutch_army.html

Th.J.A.

Weber; Uitgeverij Aspekt 2016 (ISBN 9789461536129).
Eerste druk: NV Nijgh & Van Ditmar, Rotterdam 1945.

This is the highly prized King Bolete mushroom. In this underside shot you can see that it doesn't have the typical gills but has sponges. This is a big distinguishing feature. The "spots" are (correct me if I misunderstood) caused by worms that eat the mushroom.
We had a nice vacation in Durango visiting our good friend. It is a charming town with lots of great eating and great music. We stayed at the Durango Mountain Resort / Purgatory Ski area.
We went on a nature hike with the San Juan Mountain Studies Institute. The docents were very knowledgable and I highly recommend the hike. When harvested by cutting properly it will apparently regrow at the same spot next year.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boletus_edulis

Tennessee Celeste Claflin
Born Oct 26, 1844 in Homer, Ohio
Died Jan 18, 1923 in England
Tennie Claflin was a medium, Wall Street broker, newspaper publisher, advocate for free love, legalized prostitution, workers’ rights, women’s suffrage, and dress reform. She and her sister, Victoria Woodhull, were the first to publish The Communist Manifesto in English. They also were responsible for disgracing celebrity pastor, Rev Henry Ward Beecher, by publishing an account of his affair with the wife of a friend. Tennessee was intimate with Cornelius Vanderbilt. She married a Portuguese Viscount. She was jailed for indecency. On the whole, one of the most fascinating and difficult to categorize people I have encountered.
“Victoria (Claflin) Woodhull and Tennessee Claflin were two daring sisters born 100 years ahead of their time. They were journalists, women suffragists, Wall Street brokers, and spiritualists.
Born into a poor family in Homer, Ohio, their father was a con man, their mother a spiritualist. The sisters grew up working as spiritualists and magnetic healers in their family's traveling medicine show. At age 15, Victoria was married off to Canning Woodhull who turned out to be an alcoholic and womanizer. She continued to work as a clairvoyant with her sister and divorced Woodhull in 1864.
In 1868, Victoria and Tennessee moved together to New York. With money they had saved from their work as spiritualists and the backing of Cornelius Vanderbilt they made history by starting their own Wall Street brokerage firm in 1870. They were the first women ever to work on Wall Street and the sisters soon became known as the Bewitching Brokers.
They made a fortune in the New York Stock Exchange and used their earnings to start the first ever feminist newspaper, Woodhull & Claflin's Weekly, which published over the next six years. It became notorious for publishing controversial opinions on taboo topics, advocating among other things- sex education, free love, women's suffrage, short skirts, spiritualism, vegetarianism, and licensed prostitution. The paper also printed the first English version of Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto on December 20, 1871.
In 1877 the two sisters moved to England where they lived rich and respectable thereafter- Victoria married a millionaire banker and Tennessee became a nobleman's wife.” From campsmartypants.blogspot.com/2012/04/sheroes-victoria-woo...
On October 15, 1885, Claflin married Francis Cook, Viscount of Montserrat, Portugal. Within months of their marriage, Queen Victoria created a Cook Baronetcy. As the wife of an English Baronet, Claflin would thereafter have been correctly styled "Lady Cook, Viscountess of Montserrat."

The red dragonet is a species of dragonet native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean where it occurs at depths of from 70 to 600 metres. This diminutive, bright scarlet and yellow fish is found amongst areas of broken coral rubble that is interspersed with outcrops of soft and stony corals.
Like its close relative, the Scooter Blenny, this species has an interesting method of locomotion, using oversized ventral fins to 'scoot' along the substrate and habitually perch as it feeds on microfauna.

We saw an advert, when we were in Sydney recently, for the interactive exhibition featuring 200 original Star Wars objects, at the Powerhouse Museum, running until 10 June. Shortly afterwards we saw this model of R2 D2 in one of our local garden centres.
All in celebration of the wonderful series of Movies.
Star Wars, first released on May 25, 1977, was one of the defining motion pictures in cinema history...
The Star Wars franchise has grown immensely. The original Star Wars was joined by a constellation of sequels (The Empire Strikes Back [1980], The Return of the Jedi [1983], The Force Awakens [2015], and The Last Jedi [to be released in late 2017]), three prequels (The Phantom Menace [1999], Attack of the Clones [2002], and Revenge of the Sith [2005]), and one stand-alone film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016).

A small astromech droid, R2-D2 is a major character and appears in nine out of the ten Star Wars films to date.
A resourceful astromech droid, R2-D2 served Padmé Amidala, Anakin Skywalker and Luke Skywalker in turn, showing great bravery in rescuing his masters and their friends from many perils. A skilled starship mechanic and fighter pilot's assistant, he formed an unlikely but enduring friendship with the fussy protocol droid C-3PO.
Yoda was a legendary Jedi Master and stronger than most in his connection with the Force. Small in size but wise and powerful, he trained Jedi for over 800 years, playing integral roles in the Clone Wars, the instruction of Luke Skywalker, and unlocking the path to immortality.

Tankor shifted and slided back to his armoured tank form, closely followed by Blastcharge and the three armoured commanders drove off. Soundwave continued to hear their banter as they drove down the hill.
Blastcharge: Do you feel better now that that is out of your system?
Demolishor: Blastcharge, stop being such a fruit.
The Decepticon waited in the debris, his body wracked with pain. When the Decepticon communicator felt as though he was no longer on the minds of the his three armoured antagonists, he decided to find out what exactly WAS on their mind and transformed.
Soundwave: Initiate brainscan.
Soundwave was silently pleased that his voice was still full of harmonized awesomeness in his new body as a small radar-like device emerged from his forehead plate. He waited as he utilized a function that he had lost after Cobra had converted him into his satellite form. He was further pleased at the fact that he once again possessed the power to read minds and scanned the armoured commanders for their thoughts. Despite the pain that he was currently in, Soundwave was pleasantly shocked at what his scan would reveal.
Data streamed from inside the minds of Blastcharge and Demolishor into Soundwave's brand new databanks to be stored in the Decepticon's information matrix. Soundwave was not overly surprised to find nothing of notable interest here, but plenty of trivial information that may or may not be of use at some point in the future, so he decided to store the information despite its present lack of value.
It was as Soundwave scanned the mind of Tankor that his effort paid a dividend. The file on the scan on Tankor's mind at first read as corrupted. Soundwave examined this more closely to discover that the reason for this corruption was that Tankor's cerebro-circuitry had previously been violated by a foreign source. Soundwave looked further into the file, seeking to find the source of the 'corruption' and discovered that Tankor's mind had been violated by Tarantulus himself. Tarantulus had returned to Cybertron!
"No Mafia"
Leggeva e rileggeva i suoi appunti.

The docents identified this as Fireweed ( Chamerion angustifolium ).
