Due to the entire family suffering from some sort of respiratory infection we wanted to get some fresh air into our airways at the coast. This time we chose Exmouth as our destination. The weather forecast was for dark clouds and 50% of rain - we were lucky as we stayed dry and could spend time flying the kite, walking along the water and even enjoying some obligatory ice cream. The clouds were indeed extremely dark and atmospheric - fortunately for us the heavens opened just after we were back in the car. I took this photo underneath the landing bridge of the Exmouth lifeboat station.

It was to good to be true, but right after sunset a secondary small non severe thunderstorm started to brew just to the southwest of Kearney.

Even though I just had a spectacular afternoon of some incredible stormscapes, I was in for a treat this night. An electrified thriller, one storm that I wont soon forget.

A late season weak front was pushing though. The late afternoon cloud cover right at sunset, created this surreal color capture just on the outskirts of the city.

Two dedicated fishermen at a public dock / boat launch near Algonquin Park. Despite the rain, these two men were happy to be fishing. At the time of this photo, no fish had been caught...

CCR...maybe they knew something...

I see a bad moon a-rising

I see trouble on the way

I see earthquakes and lightnin'

I see bad times today

Don't go 'round tonight

It's bound to take your life

There's a bad moon on the rise

I hear hurricanes a-blowing

I know the end is coming soon

I fear rivers over flowing

I hear the voice of rage and ruin

Oh happy days are here again... check out the song...Enjoy!

This farmland in Victoria, Australia backs on to a railway line and this track follows the line, either on this side of the line or over the other side.

Two days ago I visited a friend at the coast in Ostend. When I saw this wonderful combination of colours, I grabbed my camera and took some shots. The dark line are heavy clouds rolling in, making the sea below look paler - quite unusual, I found.

This was last night's amazing sunset over our mountains, as seen from my balcony. Colours straight from camera, no editing on this photo.

It is a peaceful scene to give much needed serenity to our lives!

Late August and I wasn't chasing this day... In fact I was preparing to head out to the east coast to catch up with Hurricane Dorian.

Just few blocks from my home here in Kearney Nebraska with no warnings issued this was creeping in from the west northwest. This thunderstorm didn't become severe until it passed over the city of Kearney. But as it approached... the sky was talking and I was listening...

I couldn't resist! With camera in hand I was out to capture a few hundred pics of what was in front of me. A wicked good photographic Nebraska stormscapes and some epic Nebraska Thunderheads!

Quel nuvoloni scuro non ne ha voluto sapere di togliersi dal sole. Alla fine però, grazie a lui, si sono propagato dei riflessi celestiali...

Not every rainbow has a pot of gold at the end, some just have a cloud!

From Monday night's severe thunderstorm. One last look at the incredible cloud as it drifted toward the other end of the city.

Off to the west the Thunder rolled across the sky, as the dark clouds moved in.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saints Vitus, Wenceslaus and Adalbert (Czech: metropolitní katedrála svatého Víta, Václava a Vojtěcha) is a Roman Catholic metropolitan cathedral in Prague, the seat of the Archbishop of Prague. Until 1997, the cathedral was dedicated only to Saint Vitus, and is still commonly named only as St. Vitus Cathedral.

This cathedral is an excellent example of Gothic architecture and is the largest and most important church in the country. Located within Prague Castle and containing the tombs of many Bohemian kings and Holy Roman Emperors, the cathedral is under the ownership of the Czech government as part of the Prague Castle complex.[1] Cathedral dimensions are 124 by 60 metres (407 ft × 197 ft), the main tower is 96.5 metres (317 ft) high, front towers 82 metres (269 ft), arch height {[convert|33.2|m|ft}}.

Taken earlier today. It was quite warm today but a Low front moving in overnight will bring snow and winds of 80-110 km/hr, or so they are telling us. temperatures will plunge and overnight with the windchill they are saying -22C.

This is the calm before the storm. dark clouds were rolling in, temperatures was beginning to drop and the wind was just starting.

I did have another image I was going to post, but figured this one was current.

Directly in front of me is where two drainage ditches meet to enter the pond south of my often photographed hill. If you follow the ice to the culvert, are the large stones that I often include in images. they are pretty cool, even if placed by man instead of nature. On the far right is a nesting box for purple martins which I do really enjoy, and they seem to come back every year.

Posting tonight as I have to make an early trip to Edmonton tomorrow (not looking forward to it, as highways will likely be pretty dicey.

We drove along the edge of this amazing storm today - the lightning was beautiful!

Flying in the Sky above grey clouds as the sun casts a golden glow on the waters of the Atlantic.

If you look closely at the bottom left of the golden circle, you can faintly see the shadow of the plane in the ocean.

If you see how dark and threatening the sky can look in Ireland, you'll understand that a bright front door and facade may be just the thing you need to cheer you up! And that's what my preceding photo shows.

This photo was taken in the region of Killarney.

This is the craziest cloud I ever remember seeing. My son and I saw this as we drove through Custer State Park yesterday.

I work full time, and sometimes way more than 40 hours a week. Just to be off work and to chase these storms would have been what I wanted to do... However when you can't chase and you have a sunset and the back side of a few severe thunderstorms moving over the eastern part of the state of Nebraska....

2 days in a row of some spectacular photographic thunderstorm views from South Central Nebraska pointing due east of Kearney Nebraska. Storms were cresting northwest out of North Central Kansas had moved into southeastern Nebraska that evening. Had the perfect light and the clouds and sky were speaking...

I couldn't resist...

An eastbound BNSF loaded coal train rumbles along the Missouri River approaching Clarkston, Montana, on October 2, 2022, led by BNSF EMD SD70MAC No. 9702, a former BN locomotive, along with BNSF Heritage I GE C44-9W No. 976 and Canadian National EMD SD70M-2 No. 8882. This coal train was enroute to export at Westshore Terminals’ coal export facility at Roberts Bank, British Columbia, but was halted on Montana Rail Link due to a dock workers strike, with the train then sent east to a new customer.

Some of the darkest & meanest storm clouds I've ever seen, yet in the end, they amounted to nothing.

On a split decision to find somewhere for tea! we headed onto the M56 to the Wirral, Merseyside. I had recently seen a picture of New Brighton lighthouse and thought it would make a good picture and wanted to try. I have not been to New Brighton since I was a child and when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this place was, the beach is beautiful and the area has been completely renewed!
