the late sun fell through the leaves, a chaotic pattern on the stone. he walked through it, unaware, his world a small rectangle of light held in his hand. behind him, his shadow became a different creature, elongated and distorted by the wall. there are two worlds: the one we look at, and the one we cast behind us. the wall saw both.
Another image taken on the Minolta AF 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6D lens that I already had at home attached to the 20 year old film camera.
I doubt I will be using this lens much or at all after my initial experimentation spirit wears off here, but it has been a fun little challenge to get some images that I actually like out of this mediocre lens. I think the lens does best in the dappled light like in this image.

I've been spending more time with Foxes recently due to working away. I really have to give thanks to Tanya for letting me know about them. It's a great way to spend an evening!
A hillside grove of trees within the Pine Hollow Arboretum. The image was produced using a 3-shot High Dynamic Range function on a small camera which tends to produce cooler images.
A damaged and attacked Beech leaf draws much needed energy from the dappled light. Taken with my old, manual Rokkor MD, 35-70mm macro 3.5 fully open.

The Khlong Sok River running low and fast over rocks and pebbles during the dry season. The morning sun made for a pleasing dappled effect on the busy surface. Photographed in Khao Sok, Surat Thani, Thailand.
Walking through the woodland I could see the morning light was breaking through the gaps in the overhead canopy and creating this abstract pattern on the pathway
A gravity defying Pine Cone, but very beautiful nevertheless less. It comes complete with both a few webs and bags of bokeh.

For me, usually, getting a decent shot of a Pyrrhuloxia is a lot like saying its name. Across the street from the post office in Langtry, Texas.

Another image from my trip to Alaska earlier this year. The rainbow can represent a new beginning and as 2017 comes to an end we look forward to a New Year.
I wish everyone a healthy and prosperous New Year!
One of a pair of twin whitetail fawns. The spots aid in camouflage in the dappled morning light. Their mother was nearby and took them deep into the underbrush, where they bedded down in the shade for a morning nap. Wildwood Park, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
this was taken last year -- the birds re singing so nicely at the moment, they think spring is coming so so must i
