Had to go back to this area we visited a few years ago. Every late February/Early March, the crab apple trees bloom with beautiful pink flowers. Pink is her FAVORITE.
This female Tawny owl sat in the tree observing for quite a while before flying down to the garden. She then sat for a good 20 minutes or more,. She called to her 3 fledged chicks who talked back to her for about 10 minutes or so, but they didn’t come to visit.
Well, another year older today and the sun is shining! I've never really thought about me arriving just in time for spring!

A clematis that caught my eye at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens yesterday. I love the changing colors and dappled light... No PS alterations other than cropping.
