WABI SABI.Wabi-sabi (侘寂?) represents a comprehensive Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. Characteristics of the wabi-sabi aesthetic include asymmetry, asperity (roughness or irregularity. In one sense wabi-sabi is a training whereby the student of wabi-sabi learns to find the most basic, natural objects interesting, fascinating and beautiful. Fading autumn leaves would be an example. Wabi-sabi can change our perception of the world to the extent that a chip or crack in a vase makes it more interesting and gives the object greater meditative value. Similarly materials that age such as bare wood, paper and fabric become more interesting as they exhibit changes that can be observed over time.[citation needed] Thanks WIKI,!

There's just something so promising about a bunch of buds just busting out, ready to bloom all at once.. These Lily of the Nile only bloom once a year, but like all things worthy - it's worth the wait.
The only unfortunate thing is that they open unannounced, and if you aren't paying attention, you could miss it. Kinda like those perfect summer mornings when you could be inside watching TV or cruising your phone - or you could be outside enjoying the brief, cool morning in early summer..
No one is going to tell you to go outside and enjoy the day, except the memory of your mother telling you, just as she did a thousand times. And no one loves you like your mother, so you really should listen..
So on Sunday Charlie and I got off early to keep in the cool..King's Cliff is a great place to keep out of the heat and enjoy the dappled sunshine..a lovely quiet walk and we only met two other walkers...ssssh, peace!
Crossing a small wash along the Lake Superior trail. This simple footbridge was hewn by hand tools in a time long past when people crafted objects slowly and built everything to last. Each beam is wide enough to give plenty of room for a stable balance while crossing. The long spans flex slightly underfoot, enough bend to feel a bit springy. Despite the years it has great strength and will serve as a crossing for many years.

According to Wikipedia, the word "kaleidoscope" derives from the Ancient Greek (beautiful), (form) and (tool for examination), and it literally translates to "observer of beautiful forms". Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
From a series inspired by Louise Glück's beautiful poem on Persephone called "The Myth of Innocence"
This is now to be regarded by me as quite a memorable photograph, as moments after this, having climbed to the top of the steps in Kings Wood, I had a bloody heart attack!!!!!! BUGGER
Soo much to look at, every which way - thankfully speed limit is very low and there are plenty of places to stop
A beautiful sculpture representing the Bann Disc, a beautiful pendant found in the River Bann during dredging operations in 1939, it is situated so that it frames Mountsandel Fort, site of the earliest known settlement in Ireland. Mesolithic man, nomadic hunter-gatherers, built their shelters here around 7000 B.C.
The pendant is now in the Ulster History Museum in Belfast.

I'm going to get to photograph many different Ferraris at the Ferrari Club of America Ottawa Chapter's 2009 Ottawa Ferrari Festival in a few weeks (June 19th to the 21st), but I got a nice "sneak preview" of what's to come when I spotted this Ferrari Mondial t parked in the shade of a tree just off Preston Street.
Photograph from an album for toilets, including private toilets, public toilets, supermarket toilets, lavatories, urinals, toilet cubicles, temporary toilets, portable toilets, event toilets, disabled toilets and accessible toilets, some showing ceramic urinals, stainless steel urinals, blocked urinals and badly maintained urinals. Included in the toilet interiors are hand wash sinks and basins, and toilet paper dispensers.

One of the avenues leading upto Wollaton Hall, passes an adventure playground on the left. This is a mixed avenue of oaks and sweet chestnuts providing us with a variety of textures and colours.
This path gets busy later on so it was nice to show it empty.
In the old pine woods at Camusdarach on Scotlands North West Coast, just across from Skye. Bluebells from this summer.
This view is the road that passes the top of Lincombe wood in Torquay. I love the silhouettes and sunshine that are lighting up patches of the road. There is a bench dead centre. A perfect place to relax.
