Piano man he makes his stand in the auditorium.
Looking on, she sings the songs;
The words she knows, the tune she hums.
But oh, how it feels so real,
Lying here with no one near.
Only you, and you can hear me
When I say softly, slowly...
Hold me closer tiny dancer, count the headlights on the highway.
Lay me down in sheets of linen, you had a busy day today...

The Teleidoscope Week 15: Tiny Dancer
This is entirely in reference to the film Almost Famous. It's one of my favourite films ever (it's in my top three, for sure!). If I could have dragged a bunch of friends onto a bus this week and photographed us singing then I would have done! Instead, I'm going for records (the scene where he drags the records out from under his sister's bed, ah!) and when Penny Lane dances around the hall on napkins.
If you haven't seen it, do. You won't be disappointed!

Model: Jossara Jinaro
Jossara and I have known each other for many years, and have collaborated on several projects. But we never got a chance to shoot together. This was part of a shoot I did for a challenge, but didn't enter this version due to editing rules. This is a composite of two images: Jossara was shot in my studio, and the location is from a historic building in Los Angeles.

A pole dancer, a portable pole, and a rooftop. All the ingredients for a fun shoot. The pole was set up under a street lamp on top of a parking garage 10 stories high. Downtown Austin in the background. More to come from this series. There were two dancers. Their strength, artistry, skill, an energy made this a fun shoot!
