"Dancing Queen" Dandelion is a weed, might be used for salad if you like it's bitter taste..
However it was "Dancing Queen" for me yesterday at the other end of my 105mm macro lens;)

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Oh, let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We're both of us beneath our love, we're both of us above
Dance me to the end of love

"Dancing is not just getting up painlessly, like a leaf blown on the wind; Dancing is when you tear out your heart and rise out of your body to hang suspended between the worlds"- Rumi
AAW July 19 - 26: Abstracts
WIT: I wanted to try the Pep Ventosa method of photo processing - it's where you use several images taken at slightly different angles, up to 360 degrees, and then stack them together in layers in Photoshop. Using different types of treatments, like overlay and screen in the different layers, and masking in and out certain parts in the different layers, I came up with this abstraction of a street statue of ballet dancers.
Bats dance around Lucretia’s head,
Their wings weave whispers for the dead.
They swoop and glide through shadowed air,
A circling spell of dark despair.

You can dance
You can jive

Betawi dance performance, during opening ceremony of Festival Jalan Jaksa (Jaksa Street Festival), July 10th 2009.
Jaksa street is well-known for backpacker and tourist destination in the heart of Jakarta city. A small street with plenty of cheap accommodations or hotels, restaurant, bar or cafe and also discotheque along the way. It attracts tourist especially foreigner to hang out here and find the exotic of non-glamorous Jakarta's night..
Every year, Jaksa Street Festival celebrated with many of attractions involved, such as live music, local Betawi art exhibitions, culinary festival, handicraft stalls, etc. This event starts at July 10th and will be ended on Sunday, July 12th.
Be there, Jakartans!

The mating ritual of monarch butterflies involves flying, hanging, and resting while staying connected for extended periods. One of my favorite photos of the monarch butterflies.
Doing dance studio this week finally got to break free from backdrop today and go outside! killer sun but felt good
Watching a troupe of dancers at the V&A Waterfront the other day I decided to focus on their facial expressions.
This Grizzly Bear cub was learning to hunt salmon for himself and had a habit of standing on his hind legs to look around for food. As he twisted to scan around he really looked like he was dancing, perhaps doing "The Floss"? Most cubs less than a year old rely on their mother to catch fish but this one was managing it all by himself.
And does anyone remember the song "Simon Smith and his Amazing Dancing Bear"? It was in my head every time I saw this cub dancing. The song was written by Randy Newman but was a top ten hit for the Allan Price Set in 1967. John Cleese chose this as one of his Desert Island Discs in 1971

Two hibiscus flowers—one red, one creamy white, they look less like flowers and more like feisty flamenco dancers mid-performance. The red one twirled with passion, the white responded with grace, and I joined their rhythm with a slow, intentional camera movement (ICM).
I tried to capture their fleeting duet—not sharp petals, but motion, mood, and music. The fact that you make pictures of what you visualise, rather than what you see, makes ICM photography both challenging and rewarding in equal measure.

Dance performance “Care” by Helena Krinal & United Dancers of Zuga.
The dance performance “Care” focuses on how difficult, easy, depressing, and uplifting it is to care for someone else.
The collaboration between Zuga and Helena Krinal, which started by chance, turned out to be so interesting and enriching for both parties that they have now been researching and creating together for six years and have reached their third performance – “Care”. Previously, they created “Noise” (2019) and “Shame” (2021). “Noise” was nominated for the Estonian Theatre Award in the dance performance category in 2020.
Led by the Estonian Dance Agency and local cultural organizers, TantsuMENÜÜ brings dance performances all over Estonia.
The Sandhill Cranes are the birds that "sparked" our interest in birding. They hang out in our area in Central California during the winter. The dancing ritual is great fun to watch. The bird in the air was one of the highest jumpers I have seen, making it look really easy to go straight up. I think the bird on the ground was pretty impressed also.

Here's one from the archives. This was four horizontal shots stitched. Seeing the lights dance across the sky was one of the most breathtaking natural phenomenons I've ever witnessed.
She shows us her ultimate dancing steps, she is slowly vanishing from the dancing floor. The tulip season is now over.
When taking this photograph, I wanted to highlight an ancient cultural heritage preserved thanks to funding provided by mass tourism, whose presence can be seen through the window.
