Mixture of fondant and buttercream swirl with fondant flowers. Cutting cake is stenciled fondant with a gum paste lily.
I've shot these Pink Damasks a few times with different cameras and lenses. This is with the Speedy G mounted with the separated rear element of a supposed Darlot Hémispherique No. 2 (long story) wide open at f-5, which is basically an uncorrected meniscus that displays Petzvalesque bokeh and foreground glow under the right conditions and distances. These were the right conditions and distances.
Efke 50 in Rodinal 1+50 for 8 minutes. Digital split-tone.
Based on a cake by Crazy Cake Lady, as well as a few other cakes out there. The damask design was piped on freehand.
Not a room, per se, but completely fabulous, and helps soothe my cravings for cake and all-things-damask. From Crazy Cake Lady's photostream: flickr.com/photos/crazycakeco/.
We damask a lot of cakes, but this was different. The cake is not flat it was a round ball! It was a challenge that we accepted and learning a lot. I love that we were able to stencil the damask around just the center of the round cake. The ornament was done to resemble the couples wedding cake. Our most popular wedding cake to date!
Love my new black/white damask fabric background. I bought it from Joann. 7 days old newborn baby girl. She is 10lb baby!
Was going to upload an out-of-box too, but I can't use a camera for shit.
Totally a fig in there somewheres, I swear.

LOVE LOVE this cake! The bride's invitation was pink black and white damask so we took that and incorporated it into the design. Just the pink and white layers are cake, the black layers are just separators.
Damask stenciled in royal over fondant. I thought the monogram needed a more ornate plaque to coordinate with the damask. Haven't done the black with ivory - I really like this color combo! Thanks for looking.
I hand knitted this cocoon egg with extra chunky italian wool yarn. Love the soft pastel lilac color. 7 days old newborn baby girl. She is 10lb baby!
There is a red damask wedding cake in this picture - can you see it? I don't know what I was thinking placing it front of this background!
12", 10" and 8" square tiers, lemon yoghurt for all three, white fondant iced with red royal icing damask stencil.
I was so excited to make this cake and I was thrilled with how it turned out. The bride provided me with the 2 broaches and the big "B" topper. She also wanted the middle tier to match her damask table runner so I ordered the Damask Stencil just for this cake and I love the effect it made! Because of the middle tier being so tall, half of it is a dummy tier. The bottom and 2nd to top tier have edible sugar gems placed on them too.

Wedding cookie samples with new damask designs. There were done with hand-cut stencils and piped dots. Design inspirations came from damask font characters.
my couch and some distressing. great overlay potential, I think.
