A special congratulations to Kerrie Wagers, who received the Dr. Mary E. Walker Award for her years of dedication to the 299th Brigade Support Battalion and 2nd ABCT. (Sgt. This is a combination of loose and too tight. I meant it to be all free and fun, and it got complicated and serious. But it is what it is, and I'm posting it just that way.

Took the handle from my Medieval War Mace and converted it to a dagger design. This is very fragile and heavy ... it had to be propped up to prevent it from destroying itself.

Out in the garden between showers on #30DaysWild day 20, spotted this Dagger Fly.
No exact species ID for this one, it's a member of the Empis genus but I don't know which one. They get their name from the impressive dagger like snout used to prey on other insects.

This is called a Dagger, however, the artist is unknown. It is made out of steel, wood, leather, and fiber in the 20th century. It was used by the Mangbetu peoples, democratic republic of the Congo. This is a tool made in the 20th century was probably used by people to hunt, which is part of how humans impact the nature. It is interesting because it has a face on the handle part and the materials used are very distinct. It shows evidence of human impact because hunting affects evolution in many ways.
