La rivière d'Étel ou ria d'Étel est un fleuve côtier du Morbihan, qui coule dans un aber, c'est-à-dire que sa vallée profonde est envahie par la mer à marée montante. Elle constitue une baie parsemée d'îlots, dont l'embouchure se situe dans l'océan Atlantique au niveau de la ville d'Étel et de celle de Plouhinec (wikipedia). Outre son attrait touristique c'est aussi un endroit où l'on peut pêcher de nombreux poissons de mer. En face, le village de "Vieux Passage", et au fond à droite le Pont Loroy.

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard hosted a weekend of entertainment to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day last weekend, so JJ and I left Tim resting at home while we went to investigate! This was taken just inside the Dockyard gates, and you can see our Spinnaker Tower and HMS Warrior.
D&H 2312 leads a pair of lightning stripe U23B's on an Eastbound at Smithboro, NY on September 1, 1982. You can see from the haze that it was one of those unbearably hot & humid days. This was the only pic I got of this train because it was creeping along, probably due to the load behind the engines, and I was on my way to Richmondville Hill for the weekend.
Another view of Vera the tank at the D-Day Museum. As you can see, it's not a huge museum, but it's an interesting way to spend a morning.

"D&H" MEEBX is stopped at Schenvus, NY on May 12, 1985. Sadly wthout an Alco leader. I will say I greatly liked the Big G paint a lot better with the orange and white pilot strips.

La forêt d'Akfadou, à cheval entre les wilayas de Tizi-Ouzou et Béjaïa, est l'un des plus importants massifs forestiers d'Afrique du Nord.
Ce poumon, s'étendant sur 16.000 hectares, constitue à lui seul 25% des forêts de feuillus d'Algérie !
La flore de ce massif culminant à plus de 1600 mètres d'altitude est principalement constituée de chênes de différentes espèces (zeen, vert, liège).
Au sein de cette forêt, à 1200 mètres d'altitude, se cache un lac naturel appelé le « Lac noir » d'une étendue de 3 hectares pour 1 mètre de profondeur.
À noter que depuis quelques années, les autorités ont entamé le processus de réintroduction du cerf de Berbérie, espèce endémique de l'Afrique du Nord, dans le massif de l'Akfadou.
