Une des marionnettes dont était doté le "Théâtre de l'Ile" - Isola Bella, les Iles Borromée sur le lac Majeur- aujourd'hui reconstruit dans le palais d'Isola Madre (fin XVIIIe).
D'après une idée de Vitalien VI Borromée en 1665, le Théâtre de l'Ile sera longtemps considéré comme l'un des théâtres privés les plus distingués de l'aristocratie lombarde. Cette activité théâtrale semble s'être arrêtée à la mort de son constructeur en 1690, pour reprendre à la fin du XVIIIe sous la forme d'un Théâtre de marionnettes.

Here is another one of the five lighthouses you can find on Menorca, to be precise on the spur of rock placed at the extreme south-west of the island, called Cap d'Artrutx. Built in 1859, the lighthouse was substantially renovated in 1970, when its height was doubled up to the current 34 meters. It emits three flashes every ten seconds, and has been automated during the 80s.
This weeks Saturday Night Special is some D&H Alco goodness. Photo by Michael A. Tedesco at Bison Yard in Sloan, NY on 11/16/1976. I missed out on catching the D&H C628's. By the time I got my drivers license in 1977 the C628's had fallen out of favor on the D&H and were either stored or used as trailing units. I caught a few as trailing units on trains and got a few parked at Colonie Shops and at Oneonta. I did actually catch one train with 3 C628's leading in 1977, but the only film I could get for the camera at the time was a roll of Ektachrome 160, so the images look pretty weird as far as the color is concerned.
