I was supposed to write an essay based on the idea of Francis Alys' Guards (2004), but somehow didn't write an essay at all and got very carried away. It went from a critical look at the place of walking in modern art to attempting to dissolve all logical meaning entirely. Initially a snide piss-take, I wrote a ludicrous non-story about the City of London and its inhabitants. After that the form of the essay went out of the window too. Printing the original document under the title "London Eats", I wanted it to be double-sided, but it came out on the same side of paper, to expectedly interesting results.

I'm not sure, but it seems to me people would love with this kind of patterning, here created by boring insects. With 1/4 of Australia's bug population living under the bark of their endless supply of Eucalyptus trees, there must be a lot of timber out there like this.
