Hazel, my favorite red squirrel, gazing at the Turkish hazelnuts I'm holding in my hand. She likes them so much 😉

Grape, an almost 1-year-old male red squirrel, looking at me. You'll never know what he's up to - he's a real scoundrel... I like how his tufts look in this shot (Squirrels-2020-4982.jpg)
Baby squirrels are really curious and some of them are not shy at all. This is Trick and he came as close as about one meter (Squirrels-2020-9070.jpg)

A rainy/gloomy day didn't dampen this bison calf's spirits. Young bison are prone to bouts of high energy displays where they run, jump and spin with abandon. One of the most entertaining wildlife behaviors.
This one was performing for us in Grand Teton National Park.
I went to see Hazel on Wednesday before work. She was hanging down a tree and I was able to take this shot from below (Squirrels-2019-0827.jpg)
Caught this cute grey squirrel running around in the park and then climbing onto the bench of the picnic table, so he could get a better look at the stranger chasing him for his photo, lol!
My favorite red squirrel Hazel sitting on a branch with some wild berries in the background (Squirrels-2020-9340.jpg)
Hazel is by far the best squirrel. I'm just sitting there and she offers so many great poses (Squirrels-2020-4596.jpg)
The Ringtail (Bassariscus astutus) is one of the least encountered mammals within Arizona. At the same time, it is very common and widespread, spending much of its time high on cliffs at night. It currently holds the title of Arizona's state mammal. If you get the chance to be out camping, night hiking, or just in the right areas; keep your eyes peeled for these cute little critters!
This is Buddy, a female red squirrel showing her impressive lower teeth. When red squirrels find nuts they gnaw a little hole in the shell and break it open by pushing their lower teeth which operate like a wedge (Squirrels-2020-8405.jpg)
This is Hazel, my favorite red squirrel. She's about 1.5 years old now. I was very lucky she got up this broken perch and looked at me so I could take this photo which isolates her really nice from the background (Squirrels-2019-4387.jpg)
Coco, a male red squirrel, is making himself as small as possible. It appears as if all his 4 feet were in one spot 😉 (Squirrels-2019-1982.jpg)
We are not 100% sure, but Kicki could well be the mom of Taz and Wiley. She was always around (Squirrels-2021-3380.jpg)
