"I'm Mary Poppins y'all!"

So when making Yondu I want to make him as accurate as possible. If any of you are confused of the red brown & purple...don't because that's how it's supposed to look.

The head is LEGOs all I did is paint teeth, sanded the stud off the head, I took Legos fin piece and sculpted around it with procreate and then proceeded to paint fin.

He has a Capemadness trench coat that I modified with bits of procreate and etape. I painted it in a dark red & dry brush it in dark brown.

The Torso is 3D sculpted with procreate and bits of bread tie wire. On the shoulders those pieces are sculpted out of procreate, the wrist gauntlet is made out of procreate & etape.

I got the idea for the Arrow from LegoMatic9 Yondu that he made in 2014, the Arrow is made out of a Lego lever piece and a Lego rod.

Everything else is in the figure is painted.

So let me know what you think!

Back in June Johnni D. wanted to do another build-off, using Hummers and Humvees as our inspiration! This was my build, inspired by the Village Customs Ratrod001 (which isn't a Hummer, but reminded me of one).

"There are two types of beings in the universe: those who dance, and those who do not."

Drax was pretty fun he was the first figure I finished, so what I did was take LEGOs official head torso and arms & recolored them. All the tattoos are still Legos I just recolored the grey.

The knives are modified BrickArms combat knives that I sanded and sculpted on to.

On the legs I use pieces of E-tape for the buckles and I sculpted sheath on the side of the legs & painted the rest.

Customs House is a heritage-listed customs house at 427 Queen Street, Brisbane CBD, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Charles H McLay and built from 1886 to 1889 at a cost of £38,346 by John Petrie & Son. It was originally used for the collection of customs duty and was opened in 1889, when Queensland was a British colony, replacing the original Customs House located at Petrie Bight. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 7 February 2005.

More of the history in the link below. You can see the rear of it, sitting amongst on the Brisbane River amongst new city high rise office and accommodation in an area of the city known as Petrie Bight in my "windows" shot today. It is now under ownership of the University of Queensland and including restaurants used for leisure purposes. If you read the full article you will see that complaints were lodged about the proximity of the Customs House to the new tower to be built beside it and the effect of that on this heritage building. The complaint was dismissed and the tower block went ahead.

A three wall facade is all that remains of a monumental waterfront building, Customs House was built in 1914, on the massive granite foundations of the city’s first Post Office built in 1898. Months of blasting the granite foundation is to make way for parking in what will become one of Victoria's most exclusive condominium's featuring a total of 57 luxury units with 4 elevators in the building. The suites range from 1,450 sq.ft. to a 4,400 sq.ft. condo that recently pre- sold for $10 million dollars. The Customs House exterior is being replaced by a multi-million dollar heritage revitalization of the original stone masonry. The sandstone facade will be restored to it's original condition. This building has always been owned by the federal government but is now privately owned. Customs House has a spectacular view of Victoria's world famous inner harbour along with the stone Legislative buildings and the Empress Hotel.

As seen from Capitol Square, Richmond, VA. This is one of the few buildings south of the Capitol Building to survive the evacuation fire in April 1865. The continuity of its Italianate style and local “Petersburg” granite material has made the expansion of the building into its present-day three-part architectural composition relatively seamless. Belém Tower is a fortified tower and a famous landmark located

in the Belém district of Lisbon, Portugal. I travelled there in 2007.

Belém Tower was built in the early 16th century in the Portuguese late Gothic style, the Manueline, to commemorate Vasco da Gama's expedition. This defensive, yet elegant construction has become one of the symbols of the city, a memorial to the Portuguese power during the Age of the Great Discoveries. In 1983 it was classified, together with the nearby Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Belém Tower was built both as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon and as part of a defense system of the entrance of the Tagus river and the Jerónimos Monastery, which was necessary to protect Lisbon. The system was initiated by King John II (1455-1495), who built the Fortress of Cascais and the Fortress of São Sebastião of Caparica. The banks of Belém were protected by a ship, the Grande Nau, replaced by the Tower of Belém during the last five years of the reign of King Manuel I.

The Tower was constructed between 1515 and 1521 by military architect Francisco de Arruda, who had already built several fortresses in Portuguese possessions in Morocco. The influence of the Moorish decorative art is manifest in delicate decorations of the arched windows and balconies and in the ribbed cupolas of the watch towers. Diogo de Boitaca, first architect of the nearby Monastery of the Jerónimos, probably also participated in decorating the building. The machicolation and the battlements are decorated with the rich sculptural ornamentations of the Manueline style.

Originally, the Tower stood on a little island on the right side of the Tagus, surrounded by water. Opposite the beach at Restelo, with the progressive southward creeping of the shore over the years, it is now practically moored to the bank itself. It was dedicated to the patron saint of Lisbon, St Vincent.

In 1580, when Lisbon was invaded by Spanish troops in the course of a struggle for the Portuguese throne, the Tower fought and surrendered to the Duke of Alba. In the following centuries the Tower was mainly used as a prison (with the underground cellars regularly flooding) and as a custom house. Indeed, given its height and lack of dissimulation in the landscape, some historians believe the Tower was mostly intended to serve as a customs outpost.

In the 1840s, under the impulse of romantic writer Almeida Garrett, the Tower of Belém was restored by King Ferdinand II. At this point many neo-manueline decorative elements were added to the building. It was declared a National Monument in 1910.

In the years when boundaries in Europe were still guarded by customs offices (“Douane”) , many countries had import restrictions . For example , when going abroad on a holiday , the camera (or any other valuable goods ) had to be registered and marked properly , to avoid the payment of import taxes when returning home . In this case , a metal seal with a registration number is seen to be attached to a Brownie Fiesta camera (from the 1960s) .
