I can't believe it's my 100th photo! I really didn't have a special celebration in my mind, wasn't even aware of it... Until I decided to upload a portrait of Grape and remembered that my very first upload was also a Grape portrait, saying "Hi!" to everyone ^_^
So I decided to make use of this sweet coincidence (or not? ;) to thank you all my sweet friends, for your support, for taking your time to look at my photos, for all your precious words and of course, for letting me see your wonders! Sharing a home with little people does not have that much of a meaning without sharing it with you! ♥ Isn't that so, Grape?
Did you ever miss some of your childhood memories so dearly? Childhood is a strange thing, even if it contains bad or hurtful memories, the beautiful ones follow you into your adulthood and keep coming back to your mind when life is harsh, when you find it hard to be an adult. You begin to find immense warmth in the little keepsakes reminding you of these memories (if you still keep them of course); an old, yellowed picture book, a tiny plastic bunny, or your first pencil case becomes priceless treasures for you to protect, the little remnants from your childhood dreams...
If you feel like this sometimes too, if you miss those moments and the way you dreamed about life when you were little... Be careful! But I mean it in a good way ;) Be careful, because a magical surprise may come to your way. If you miss your dreams strong enough, if you wish strong enough that you had them again, they'll come for you. Embodied as a little, lovely friend, your dreams will come to you again to remind themselves, to bring your childhood joy again into your life. So, this is what my childhood dreams look like... Luna ^__^ Welcome, my dear... I have been waiting for you for so long...

Before the show began... The backstage has always been Ruby's favorite part. Just minutes before her performance, when either everyone else is minding their own business or they are all gone, Ruby likes to sit on the floor, next to her chest of toys and curiosities, enjoying the silence and that sweet tension before the real excitement begins. While the backstage was bathed in the colorful stage lights filtering from behind the half-ajar doors, she slowly tied her laces and whispered to me:
"You know, it's all about the anticipation, before it all happens. I love to be alone in these moments, using all my senses to feel the lights, the sounds and all the energy here tonight, capturing us and the audience in the unique magical world of the show, that won't exist tomorrow or any other night. Then, I feel so grateful to be able to see and feel all of this. And then, I realize that I am the star of the show..."
The prettiest stage lights were nothing compared to the smile on her face when she said that last sentence ^_^ She got up, all ready, sweet like an angel, and she ran. To the stage, to her happiness...♥
The summer came to visit us here in October. Well, was it a surprise that Grape did not miss this opportunity? No! Being a beach girl, she was at the shore in no time!
She took long walks along the beach, collected colorful stones and shells all day. And she was listening to the songs of the ocean from inside of the shells, when just at the moment a gull friend came to chat with her ^_^ He sat on the rocks behind and said "My dear Grape, did you know that every single shell carries a different song within..?"
Last week Eloise had to travel to the clouds and found a poppy field there, Yes, but why was she there in the first place? Because she was looking for Zooey. Zooey was in the realm of clouds all day, it was already dark outside but she didn't return home. So the girls were worried about her. Actually Grape was supposed to go after her, since she's very close to the creatures living in there, but she has caught a cold. It was Eloise in the end, saying "No more waiting!", off she went.
Little Zooey, because clouds are her home. She is a "sky child", meaning a child of clouds and the rain. Months ago, when the little rainbow sprites were visiting Grape, they told us about Zooey. Her bigger sister had to leave for an important weather mission far, far away and she was left all alone. (Her sister is also a sky child, by the way. This is what sky children do, they act as agents between the world and the atmosphere, help regulating the weather events so everything stays in harmony, both on the world and up there.)
But Zooey is still too little for all these responsibilities. In the end, we all decided that it would be the best if she stayed with us until her sister comes back. Everyday, she insists to go to the clouds, even she does not have to yet. We can't hold her, it's in her soul after all. She also can't do without visiting the avian folk. Not every sky child is like that, but she is so close to birds. She took it on as a duty to collect precious fallen feathers to help the birds who lost theirs somehow or do not have enough. She counts them everyday and has already built up an amazing collection.
This is the story of Zooey, finally revealed... ^__^
Fashion tips from Hime the Bunny:
1. Your hair must be curly like a lamb and have the ultimate softness to the touch to make everyone want to pat your head all the time
2. Wear simple dresses and cardigans in colors which underline your cuteness and beauty; you don't need extra frills or laces because you are already so sweet
3. Take care of your bunny ears, they have to stay extremely soft and fluffy all year long; wash them in cold water with mild shampoo
4. Always have an eye for a fashionable pair of bunny shoes and don't hesitate to invest in a few pairs in staple colors; they are the essential parts of the bunny wardrobe
5. Sit and pose cutely; don't forget: you are so sweet
Eloise stood up and... Just stood there, for a while. She didn't know what to do. "Who was he..? Where did he go so quickly? And what was it all about with those mysterious glances and veiled words..?"
But there was the letter. She had to open it. Oh, two mysteries at once, that was too much for her! Thankfully, she was able to solve one of them right away. She began to tear the envelope gently...
I ended up customizing my Kirsche last night, because my bestie gave me a new wig and a hair bow and halter dress that she had made herself! (I also had an extra pair of KiraKiraMeansSparkle eyechips left over to use on her, too! Lucky!) They're such cute pieces! I put Pullip Raphia's skirt underneath the dress to add some extra poof and frill! She looks super sweet now!
I've had this girl for a while but I never showed off the eyelids I painted for her. It's a little hard to tell here but they are teal and green and fade to match her make-up. It's got to my favorite feature on Delilah and the reason why she is always "sleepy" here at home ^^U
It was one of those gloomy afternoons. Having finished the last book she had, Luna couldn't think of something else better to do than exploring: Exploring at home!
One of her favorite pastimes is going through the old stuff kept in the storage boxes and dusty chests in the attic. Some from her own childhood, some even from her mother's... Books, toys, notebooks, journals, keepsakes, all kinds of pens, fabrics, old glassware and anything you can think of. It does sound exciting, doesn't it?
That's why she goes "memory exploring" now and then, as she calls it. Actually, she explored most of the attic by now. But there was that chest, which looked old, dusty and not particularly eye catching at first glance. So she decided to give it a chance today.
You wouldn't believe what she found! o_o A life-sized doll was lying inside it, protected from dust and mold by the considerable amount of fabric and clothes piled on top of it. The doll reminded her of Alice, that girl who went to the Wonderland (people said that it all was a dream and she woke up afterwards, but Luna didn't believe it was). She was preserved so well, too well for a doll in storage actually, Luna thought. How odd... And she was surrounded by teacups and had a couple of tea stains on her apron, like she's been drinking tea all the time inside the chest. "Now that's another odd thing...," Luna found herself whispering aloud. "But a life-sized doll!" she continued. "I could take her anywhere with me! I have to get her out and carry her to my room immediately!"
...
Now who else, other than me, has the feeling some things are going to happen? o_o
... only because one portrait of Hime leaves us wanting more...

On the way to the doll meet I swung by Requiemart's house to pick up the lovely custom Duela Dent pullip. Duela Dent is loosely based off of the DC character who is an else world's daughter of the Joker (multi-verse shenanigans).
What a lucky day! Yesterday, I finally managed to convince Toffee to take a picture of her.
She arrived months ago in summer, yet her story and what she does during the day remained a secret all this time. That was because she is a bookworm! The day after she arrived, she went to the local library first thing in the morning and got a membership card. Since then, she left after breakfast everyday and studied and read until dark at the library. In the evenings, she had the funniest and the strangest stories to tell at the dinner table, but then she did not want to pose in front of the camera. She was tired and the light was not enough anyway. All the girls love her so much, we just did not want to insist and make her uncomfortable.
Lately, after our efforts, she decided to borrow some of the books she wanted and study at home (well, we may have insisted a bit ^_^) But, you see, we missed her so much! We already have an album of wonderful memories with the other girls, it would be so incomplete without Toffee! We're so happy to see you around, sweetie. I promise we'll get every book you want <3
If you're having a bad hair day like Eloise, there is a very simple solution: Let an octopus sit on your head all day long. It will steal all the attention and you won't have to worry about how bad your hair looks or what people think about it.
Eloise has been thinking about going to the hairdresser's lately, saying she is in need of a change. I think it all started with Hime, then Fuchsia and now Eloise... She's been wearing her octopus almost everyday now, so I think she's serious :)

I recently received this gorgeous Myufish custom in a trade, took me a little while to find her perfect wig/eye combination but I am finally happy with the results.
"Well, these go to the washer and these to the dry cleaner's... But the laundry never ends! I wear mostly sporty clothes, even so... I don't know how the other girls handle it, their delicate dresses with all the silk, laces, frills and stuff..."
Ah, wow, it’s been a while.
Two years after putting one of my dolls names up for an Aya & Ume faceover, Grell finally came back looking like this. Sadly it’s taken me another two years on top of that to get around to putting eye chips and a body on.
That’s more or less why I’m here. I absolutely adore looking at everyone’s photos, they’re so creative and colourful. But when it comes to taking them myself I don’t get excited or remotely interested in it anymore. I actually spend a lot of time outdoors taking photos for my other account – which I haven’t used that much either.
I guess my main concern at the moment is that I’m not really interested by my own pullips or small toys – haven’t been for quite a while. As a result I think it’s time to separate with them and make some room in my room. The only ones I would like to keep for some time longer are this one and maybe one or two of the others. I’m not a 100% on that yet. So what I’m saying ultimately, is if you’re interested in any of my dolls, pullips or ball jointed, PM me a sensible offer. Most of them have all their original bodies and clothing in their boxes. I would prefer to sell in the UK only :)
Every girl does miss her natural hair some day! At least this was what Hime said, making up her mind last week to return to her old, natural hairstyle again.
She joined the Stem Gatherers right after graduating from high school, when she also decided to dye her hair "royal lavender" with the color derived from the stems. She enjoyed that hair color so much for years, that it became a part of her. So much, that everyone she gets to know thought that it was her natural hair! But this is Hime, in her most natural state, starting spring fresh as the flowers in the meadows ^__^
Yesterday, Eloise had to travel to clouds. She was not surprised to see a poppy field over there, like one of us would be. Because she knew. She knew that poppies originally grew in the fields up above. It was then, after someone traveled with a few seeds to the earth's surface, when they became the poppies we know.
KiraKira, who is able to see the most beautiful poppies with her right eye, told us the whole story. So we knew. Now you know, too ^_^ So don't be surprised when you come across a poppy field in the clouds, when you travel there some day. Poppies with the prettiest red...

Yes I know, enough Rosegolds already, but a photography studio certainly has the right to show off their work..?
Especially if the technique involves something rare! Because with the funding the Rosegold family has provided, we discovered the method to make daguerreotypes in color! Of course the technique is kept secret (and the patents pending) but some rumors were already starting to spread so the family thought it would be best to reveal it now.
We have very little documentation when it comes to the former members of the family (mainly due to the misfortune that happened, but still). On the contrary, these family portraits will last generations ♥
Collecting stems can be tiring for a girl sometimes... Hime let herself in the arms of sleep, once again in her peaceful corner ^_^
