Agliati è un eremo, uno di quei posti dove si ci si può ritirare o dove semplicemente si può passare un pomeriggio tranquillo, in cima alla collina, dove c'è la piccola chiesa e la foresteria abitata da Daniele (apicoltore e custode dell'eremo). una volta arrivati alla chiesa è possibile vedere tutte le colline intorno e le case coloniche un tempo abitate dai contadini ed oggi per lo più dimore estive.
Agliati ha anche il suo piccolo cimitero, di quelli come venivano costruiti in campagna, a pianta quadrata, circondati da un muro in mattoni alto un paio di metri (sono un pò tutti così in campagna) si sale su lungo una ripida strada fiancheggiata di alti e severi cipressi e ci si trova davanti il cancello. Il posto è veramente tranquillo e viene voglia di soffermarsi in riflessione davanti alle poche tombe che ancora sono in piedi, tra queste vi è anche la tomba-altare nel quale è sepolto Carlo Paganelli, appartenente ad una famiglia importante della nostra zona morì tragicamente nel 1934 e anni dopo la madre ne raccontò le vicende nel libro "figlio amoroso giglio" che anni fa ebbi modo di leggere in casa di un amico.
Agliati is a hermitage, one of those places where you can retire or simply where you can spend a quiet afternoon at the top of the hill, where there is a small church and the guest house inhabited by Daniel (bee-keeper and guardian of the hermitage ). once you get to the church you can see all the surrounding hills and the houses once inhabited by farmers and today mostly summer residences.
Agliati also has its small cemetery, as those were built in the countryside, a square, surrounded by a high brick wall two meters (all so I'm a bit in the country) you climb up a steep street lined with tall and rigorous cypresses and you are in front of the gate. The place is really quiet and we would like to pause in reflection in front of the few graves that are still standing, among them there is also the altar-tomb in which it is buried Carlo Paganelli, who belonged to a prominent family in our area died tragically in 1934 and years later, the mother told the story in the book "Figlio amoroso Giglio" that years ago I had the opportunity to read a friend's house.
