Like Arabic, these are initial, medial, and final forms for letters. In most of the cases above, the medial and final forms are the same, and for 'b', they're the same for all positions.
The script is an abugida - a is inherent. The "vir." is the virama, which suppresses the inherent vowel, and "fric." turns a stop into a fricative. You can see an example of both of thoss at work in 'math' at the bottom (written in X-Sampa, because I couldn't remember the proper IPA for /T/ :D ).
The l with the dot is the Welsh "ll" /K/. And y has a bunch of jobs, so it was easier just to say that. The "nas." below it is a nasalizer.
