I baked an apricot cheesecake today for our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. As it cooled it opened up a crack that made this perfectly beautiful "T" in a Chancery Cursive style. I couldn't have drawn it with pen and ink any better!
His own design. Neck tattoo man was very cordial, but seemed like Not To Be F'd With. And has 2 hearts on his neck, chillin with his lady's kids.
I got a letter from 12 year calligraphy phenom Janie Lin. The envelope was done in Spencerian script, and the enclosed letter in perfect cursive. Just a sampling of what she does here. Tons of practice…

The other bands were Sorry About Dresden (I believe) and Desaparecidos (certain). The cowboy had had been passed around by the singers all night. The scarf and hideous shorts were Tim's idea.
The band was all set and ready to go but Tim couldn't be found. He finally came out in this ensemble. I don't think the rest of the band was in on the gag, as they were having a very hard time keeping a straight face. In particular I remember Clint not being able to keep it together until about the 3rd song.
It looks like Chinese or Japanese cursive script, but it's just a weeping willow (Salix babylonica "Crispa").
When the subtitles were on, the note was translated this way:

Today as part of a conversation after yoga class between some of the women, I was treated to one of the best compliments I have received in a while:
Woman 1: "Men are like busses: there's another one every 20 minutes."
Woman 2: "Well Gregory here isn't a bus."
Dude, I'm not a bus. That's a great way to end this year!
