This coin wants to visit as many caches near farms and cow related places as possible. Please take pictures of you and the coin with any cows you meet. This is a cow race between Mølle and Dagros to see who can visit most cow related places and win a game of Cow Bingo.

Was a hermit at home this week. Finished 3 books. Now I have "She's Come Undone" to start.
The Help was an page turner for sure; loved it.
The Oy joke books were an entertaining quick read as well; saw it on display at Barnes & Nobles, read a bit of it, found it funny, and decided to go borrow the book.
James says: “One curation project we are currently working on is combining the hawk moths (family Sphingidae) from several Lepidoptera donations we received over the past year. The specimens are organized and grouped alphabetically by scientific name before they are databased and eventually integrated into the main moth collection.
“This specimen caught my eye the other day. It’s commonly called the Oleander Hawk Moth, Daphnis nerii, because the caterpillars are often found feeding on the plant Nerium Oleander. The adults can be observed feeding on jasmine and honeysuckle nectar during the twilight hours of the day. These moths can be found year-round in Africa and parts of Asia. During the summer they migrate to eastern and southern Europe. This specimen was collected in Kribi, Cameroon on January 26, 1979 by John and Nancy Mix of Chicago.”

BRISTOL BOLINGBROKE Mk. IV (BLENHEIM)
SERIAL NUMBER 10076
PAINTED AS SERIAL NUMBER 9118
Current Markings: Royal Canadian Air Force, No. 115 Squadron, Annette Island, Alaska, 1942
Development of the Blenheim light bomber began in 1935. The Blenheim was developed from the Bristol Type 142 light civil transport. When it first appeared the Blenheim was faster than most of the fighters then in use by the Royal Air Force, but by the outbreak of war in 1939 it was slow and nearly obsolete. Nevertheless it served extensively in the first three years of the war as a bomber, night-fighter, and reconnaissance aircraft. A version of the Blenheim Mk. IV was built in Canada by Fairchild called the Bolingbroke. These aircraft served primarily as coastal patrol planes and as trainers.
This Bolingbroke has been painted to recreate the markings of serial number 9118 assigned to Royal Canadian Air Force No. 115 Squadron at Annette Island, Alaska. Bolingbroke 9118 was credited with assisting in the destruction of the Japanese submarine RO-32 in early July 1942 along with two US Coast Guard cutters. The aircraft dropped two depth bombs on the target. The next day the cutters reported sighting large air bubbles and oil in the water and a heavy smell of diesel fuel. Officially the RCAF crew and the USCG cutters shared credit for killing RO-32. In 1945, the definitely not sunk RO-32 was captured in Japan and the credit for the sinking was rescinded.
In the early 2000s a photo reportedly taken by the crew of 9118 was discovered which seems to prove that they had indeed attacked a submarine that day. It has been suggested that it was possibly a Soviet submarine. Both the Japanese and Soviet navies purchased submarines from the British-Vickers Engineering Co. between World War I and the 1930s. The subs were built to the same plans and were virtually identical. The Soviet submarine Shch-138 was reported missing two days after the attack off of Annette Island. Soviet records say it was destroyed by a torpedo malfunction. However, Soviet submarines are known to have conducted espionage missions along the US and Canadian coasts throughout the war.

Using a current meter and oscilloscope, the ideal REF settings were determined by observing how much current could be applied to each motor before the waveform becomes distorted.
