Current straps in the Weaver Guitar Straps lineup waiting to go to the California World Guitar Show in San Rafael, CA January 11th & 12th, 2014 www.WeaverGuitarStraps.com
A teaser poster design for a new church branch we are launching called "The Current." I plan on just hanging these up inside the church and coffee shops to get people curious - not looking to advertise the time and location quite yet.
New branch is geared towards young adults (18-30). The logo for the service is featured in the bottom right hand corner - I plan on using that on the shirts, printed materials, etc.

The current resident breeding bull on KPNR. He is only rented as he needs to be changed every 3 years to prevent him breeding with his progeny and weakening the gene pool.
For all his mean looks he is actually quite tame and shows little reaction when Mike and Neil retrieve the feed containers...unlike some of the girls!
Shot at Sambalpur, Orissa.
This is one of the canal supplying water from the Hirakud dam. The sound made by the flow of water is deafening when one goes near the gates.

Title : Bagh-e Fin
Other title : Bagh-i Fin; Fin Garden
Date : 1571-1629 (construction) 1797-1834 (reconstruction)
Current location : Kashan, Esfahan, Iran
Description of work : The Bagh-e Fin was developed during the reign of the Safavid ruler Shah Abbas I (1571-1629) on the route to his new capital at Isfahan. Contained within massive enclosure walls and laid out on a series of low terraces, the garden follows a quadripartite chahar bagh scheme divided by the crossing of two watercourses which also line the perimeter of the garden. The crossing is marked by a two-story pavilion, while garden spaces and pathways fill the space. An additional watercourse, running adjacent to the central one, emanates from a small, but elaborately painted, pool house. The paintings date to the reign of the Qajar ruler Fath Ali Shah (1797-1834), who also replaced most of the earlier buildings. The water is delivered by a qanat (underground irrigation canal) and is forced through numerous fountains by gravity. Various hammams (bathhouses), residences, and a museum line the sides. It was declared a national monument in 1935 and has since undergone extensive repairs. (Sources: Hobhouse, Penelope. Gardens of Persia. Kales Press, 2004; Faghih, Nasrine and Amin Sadeghy. As I also work as a coach I'm trying to learn about my profession. Currently I am very interested in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I read several theoretical books about it but self help books as well to incorporate ACT in my counseling and coaching.
Besides that I love to read novels and thrillers. At the moment I read in English (I am Dutch). It is a thriller from Scott Mariani, The Armada Legacy. Most of the time I read some pages before I go to sleep.

in response to questions - using Nikon DSLR with manual settings (usually quite long exposures), and quite old (25 or so years) Tokina AT-X f2.5 90mm macro* (which unfortunately requires a "matched converter" for 1:1) (returned the new Nikon macro purchased with the camera because it was clearly inferior to this lens - this is amazing to me and says something about current photography)
*finding that others feel the same about this lens, e.g. makingnottaking.blogspot.com/2010/05/tokina-90mm-f25-at-x... who says:
"How does the Tokina 90mm fair? I think it's safe to say by this point, you know, this lens is incredible. I really cannot say more. This lens is sharp wide open. And not consolation-sharp, tack sharp. I consistently use this lens wide open. The bokeh is just as a lens nicknamed "The Bokina" should be: beautifully soft, smooth, and aesthetic. The coatings provide great optical performance and contrast. I love the color I get from this lens. Of course there is a hint of CA wide open, ever so slightly in extreme highlights. But I honestly have no cons with this lens. If you have the chance at one, buy it. You cannot beat the performance for the prices of some of these (I say some since due to the hype, the prices have been on the rise. $550 can buy modern macros with AF and newest technology coatings)."
for focus "stacking" the "slider" works better than moving the plane of focus with the lens

Winds were gusting up to 45 mph this morning. It was a scramble to stay low and try to catch the light fleeting across these amazing peaks. I used a 6 stop neutral density filter for this image to smooth out the choppy waters and clouds.
since Ixtee no longer makes Blythe Doc Martens (#sad) I started collecting the little mj's and 'cos I love the color, I plan on purchasing these loafers as well. So far, I think I only have 1/3 of those... =S

Our everyday life is can often be described as a flow, that is constantly taking us forward. We pass by places, things and people, leaving our memories and experiences behind and we sometimes don’t have an opportunity to stand up, stop and look around or behind ourselves, to see all the way, all the traces, the inanimate witnesses, that silently remember us passing by. In this photo series I sought to slow down, disconnect myself from the motion and look back, look up and down. I moved to the sides and touched the objects, had a closer look at them, inspected the marks, textures and lines, tried to observe them back and seek for the clues for the stories they had witnessed.
The European continent is currently facing fundamental challenges with respect to its social and economic future, as well as its internal regional and global geopolitical positioning.
It is to this effect that the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) under the patronage of H.E. Miloš Zeman, President of the Czech Republic and in cooperation with the president’s office are organizing a high level one day strategic conference entitled “Europe Current Evolution” at Prague Castle on Wednesday, 24 June 2015.

This is one of my favorite fabrics currently in stock! A medium weight cotton that is marked "Peter Pan Fabrics Inc". It has a slight musty smell so will need to be washed prior to using. Would make AMAZING aprons or a variety of other projects.

I have no idea why this newspaper was here, but it struck me as odd, so I snapped a pic of it.
Perhaps, when the door was boarded up, they had newspaper pushed around it to try to keep bugs/weather out?
the currents stole elevated me in the pink sky
a thousand flamingos in flight
the lemon drop sun behind
I felt lashed against the waves
but free
maybe just a well liked slave
almost wings
then the descent and the hammers fell
water filled heads
speaking in a tongue
I understood
but could not fathom
no air
only liquid death
the all encompassing poison
the gurgle
the wretch
then the release

Currently, the section between South Western Highway and the Boyanup Picton Road (opened 2013) is in use. Will have major beneficial impacts when eventually constructed.
The current Midland Metro terminus at Snow Hill Station.
I expect this to be closed in the future, when they extend the Metro to New Street Station.
The new living wall as seen from platform 3 (with the existing Midland Metro line between).
Can't really see 1 or 2 Snowhill behind these now.
These might look better on the other side, once it is finished (and once all the works here are complete).
Camera in ISO 800. After sunset. Was also raining outside, although the station is covered.
Currently annoying the neighbours with these. Three guitars missing from this line-up. Will have to get them all out for a party soon...
The Patrouille Acrobatique de France, also known as the Patrouille de France or PAF, is the precision aerobatic demonstration team of the French Air Force. Originating in 1931, it is the world's oldest and one of the most skilled demonstration teams. Pilots currently fly the Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet. In 1931 France's first aerobatic demonstration took place over Étampes-Mondésir. It was performed by the instructors from the local flying school with Morane-Saulnier MS-230 planes. In the period 1932-1939, under the command of Captain Pierre Fleurquin, the team received considerable praise and was chosen to represent France at international events. Over in Dijon the "Weiser" team, consisting of 18 planes (Morane-Saulnier MS-225 and SPAD 510) gained fame for their team displays in which the planes were tied together.
The Patrouille d'Étampes team relocated to Salon-de-Provence in 1937, adopting the name Patrouille de l'École de l'air ("Flying school Patrol"). The Second World War interrupted the operations of both teams. Stampe SV.4C of the Patrouille de France in 1951
In 1947, the Minister for the Air created an aerobatic team from the Air Force. Led by Captain Perrier, a former pilot from the Patrouille d'Étampes team, it initially consisted of twelve Stampe SV.4 aircraft. Following the increasing popularity of their performances, a number of similar units were formed within the Air Force. In 1952, Squadron Leader Delachenal, a pilot from the 3rd combat division stationed at the airbase at Reims-Champagne, formed a team of four F-84 aircraft. In 1953, during an aerial event at Maison Blanche in Algeria, the show's commentator, carried away by the spectacle he had just witnessed, gave the team the name "Patrouille de France".
Over the following decade four separate aerial display Air Force units (12th unit – Cambrai-Épinoy; 4th unit Bremgarten; 2nd unit – Dijon-Longvic; 7th unit – Nancy-Ochey) continued to perform at both national and international events. In 1964 however, budget cuts led to reductions throughout the Air Force, including the dissolution of the Dassault Mystère IV team. Nonetheless, a few months later, keen that the Patrouille de France name should not be lost, the Ministry of Defence decided to create an official "Patrouille de l'École de l'air". Its team of six Fouga Magister aircraft stationed once again at Salon-de-Provence and became France's premier aerial display team for the next 16 years.
The final display involving the Fouga Magister, now nine in number, took place on September 16, 1980 at their home base of Salon-de-Provence. They were replaced by seven Alpha Jet, with an additional plane added in 1982. The aircraft, under the leadership of Squadron Leader Bernard Inge, has remained unchanged to this day. In 1986, the team took part in an historic fly-past above New York City. In 2009, the Patrouille de France achieved a world premiere when Commandant Virginie Guyot was appointed leader, becoming the first woman in history to lead a demonstration team.
