i took this in belgium when we got trapped (yes, trapped) in a botanical garden. i was so mad at the botanical garden for forcing us to walk for miles through it's trails where the flowers all started looking the same and where we couldn't even run on the gorgeous grass that i didn't even want to go through the pictures i did take.
talk about having a grudge, right?
i tried to take a selfie today but i didn't like any of them, so i thought i would go through some old pictures of mine.

Apparently the secret to getting down the evil doctor/transvestite from outer space hairdo is sharpies. Now you know.
I couldn't decide which shot I liked better...
None of the time-lapse pictures really turned out well, but twenty minutes after this shot all of the curls fell out. We only did half of my hair anyway, since we don't have enough curlers to do all of my head.
I have a lot of hair.

In my family, strange things can happen to your hair at puberty. Many kids with straight-ish hair found temselves with curls as teens. Rachel's "baby hair" at the nape of her neck is starting to curl, as are sections of hair hidden under the top layers. We'll see where this goes. (Sometimes it just stays mixed.)
