my niece slept on wet braids to achieve these curls, and she was so proud of them. She wanted me to take her picture; how could I refuse such an adorable subject. :) I was more than happy to oblige, especially when I usually have to beg and plead to take their pictures.

I'd threatened photos of the old cayenne peppers with a lime cordial bottle, and I finally got to start cleaning, choosing, and, finally, posting.

These are probably the messiest pin curls I have ever done. My only excuse is that my hair is freshly cut and very short everywhere but the top (it's a kick-butt cut for finger waves!). I've also never done pin curls on anything shorter than chin-length hair. When my grandmother was teaching me how to do wet sets years ago, she said to not even bother with hair if it was too short to wrap around your finger at least once. Tomorrow, I'll see just how right she was!

I was sitting in a restaurant having dinner when I saw this girl with her back to me, and her hairstyle which was actually just curled intrigued me, as it looked so lovely, and I just HAD to take a pic!

I'm in another awkward hair phase so I decided to curl it. My hair doesn't curl, it just waves. I also ended up burning my hand and the back of my neck. I suck.

An Araneidae orb weaver, the Acusilas malaccensis is a striking beauty. She construct a retreat made of curled leaf, probably to hide her very flamboyant appearence. This particular one had her web just above the ground with the supporting web lines tied to the stems of short plants.

Taken by the roadside on Bukit Fraser, near the Tamil school.

My hair is very curly today. I used AG Re:Coil and Batia & Aleeza Gel. It's better to work with the humidity than to attempt to vanquish it.

My Cat Jemima Puddleduck, curled up on the rug asleep. She always likes to sleep on the edge of the rug, never in the middle
