My granddaughter has a head full of curls.

I normally sort of take the weekends off on flickr, but just felt like posting something today :) This is from a gorgeous morning a few months ago. Waves breaking by the jetty and the light was just stellar.

I know I said that summer is here at the end of the week (or so they say!)

but Storm is tired of waiting for better weather!

 

This is pretty much what he does all day!

Curling up and sleeping in his favorite chair, or sometimes when he's got a little energy left,

go upstairs and take a nap on the bed ;)

Route 66 Cuba Missouri

There was not a lot of colour but the clouds were amazing.

South Curl Curl this morning was quite funny. We were set up preparing for sunrise when 2 ladies turned up right next to us and started to do some yoga moves, I had to join them. It made for a few laughs.

Sometimes, in looking at the more spectacular fall colours, I forget how lovely the browns of fall are.

...and totally fearless. It sat in the sun and trimmed its feathers and let me take several photos of it.

They're usually rather vigilant, so this was a new experience for me - perhaps for the bird too, when it found out that I wasn't that dangerous, even with a big lens aiming at it.

Sunrise over North Curl Curl rock pool

This is a peppermint cake, with chocolate butter cream, decorated with chocolate curls, lol i wish i could cut a slice to take a picture of the inside, green peppermint sponge, but it was for an order, baked 3 cakes today n got to bake 3 more tomorrow, baking is tiring work don't know how u guys manage, I’m exhausted.

The South Curl Curl rock pool swamped by big waves

Surfer locked in the curl holds good form dispite the tumbling that is going to take place in about 1 second. Plastics Beach at Montana De Oro State Park in Los Osos California.
