Curls the curly ram!

186/365

It is funny - despite how much I say, I find it so hard to put words together sometimes. It has taken me over an hour to write 18 words. It is hard to string thoughts together and put them into words.

Did you know that one in every eight letters written is an E, making it the most common letter in the English language?

I'm not gonna lie folks, I feel like I've lost my mojo. I'm having a hard time finding beauty in the mundane, which was always something I enjoyed. In an effort to fix that, I took my 100mm macro out for a spin. Because we all know that nothing challenges a photographer like a completely different perspective.

(I think I've been too in love with my 35mm, and that's why the 100mm macro was such a huge shift.)

How adorable is the sleeping position of the squirrel monkey?

South curl curl ocean pool is located on the northern beaches of Sydney. Such an easy location to get to and some many compositions to reach for both sunrise and sunset photography.

Cherry curls from my reproduction 18th century rabbet plane. Even though my shop floor is generally covered in these, you never get tired of a good plane shaving.

The wind has died down a little today and I went for a wander to my neighbour's garden (what a surprise lol). He has some white cosmos flowers amongst the pink and orange ones and they make quite a display. This is SOOC, with no cropping or adjustment. It is taken with my 28-70 mm lens and the 20 mm Kenko extension tube.

WIT: Saw this curl of the fence, loved the rusty texture. something I haven't shot in a while, and I used to love shooting rust. In post, just cropped, and sharpened a bit to emphasize the texture.

It's interesting how the spent bloom curls around itself almost like creating a shroud.

Aurora borealis (northern lights) over interior Alaska. Not great reflection on the lake, as it was covered in a layer of mist. Oh well!
