"Sunset is the opening music of the night."

Curl Curl Beach is located between Dee Why Beach and Freshwater Beach on the Northern Beaches.
Curl Curl is one of Sydney's best surfing beaches. It faces the east-southeast and averages 1.6-metre waves. The beach is approximately 1.2 kilometres long and is divided into North Curl Curl and South Curl Curl.
The northern part of the beach has a lagoon, which flows to the sea. North Curl Curl has good swimming and body boarding conditions, particularly in front of and south of the lagoon. This area is great for kids, as they can walk through shallow water, build sandcastles or search for sea creatures. Hidden around the end of the headland is one of the most beautiful rock pools in Sydney. During high tide, it can only be accessed via the coastal walk across the headland.
The beautiful south end of Curl Curl is popular, with a child-friendly ocean swimming pool and cafe. If you are planning to swim at the beach, make sure you stay between the flags, as there are several rips at any one time, the most notable one being the Garbage Bowl at the southern end of the beach.

South West National Park | TAS | Australia
Curls on a mature pandani plant in the remote wilderness of South West National Park, Tasmania.
An "East Coast low" has formed off the Australian coast, south of Sydney, bringing massive waves to the Sydney coastline. This scene was captured during a sunny break at Curl Curl beach.
From the garden.
I am conflicted a bit in if I should have burned out more of the backround or leave it as is. I guess I may get back to it, but right now it pleases me...and there is a promise of veggies come soon!
The manzanita bark curls in autumn, as the tree sheds its smooth, skin-like bark to grow more for the next season. It is usually worth the time to stop and take a look at the beautiful and tiny details of creation. The marvelous and intricate designs can speak of great and wondrous things.
Wow I've forgotten whats its like waking up at the crack of. Its been a while since I've done a sunrise.
Got a little lucky it was quite a nice sunrise when the colour came.

Close-up candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I may have slightly misfocused this due to the close range and movement but I simply love the resulting shot, the curl of the lip and the curly hair - it is all about expression in this shot. Enjoy!

So many tender curls to capture during my Konkan visit. The entire plant was full of big red ants and it was rather scary to go so close and click a photo!
