My second attempt in product photography. This time I choose to play with chocolate a little bit, since it was that valentines day :)
Strobist info: I put my Camera (5D MArk II) on a tripod so I can later on compose the final image from more pictures. On camera left side is one YN560II speedlite with snoot to keep the light only on the cups. Than I put a black panel and put another YN560II behind it to light the background. On camera right side is just one white grid to bounce some light back to the cups. You can see the diagram here DIAGRAM
And here is just Gif animation for fun GIF ANIMATION
what to do with the left over creme and scrap pieces of chocolate cake?

Cedar Cup Fungus / geopora sumneriana. Blaxton, Doncaster. 22/02/20.
Showing the detail of one advanced Cedar Cup fruiting body. It would have started out as an almost spherical form flush with the ground. As it developed, it gradually pushed upward and the rim started to split around the opening. You can see soil clinging onto the exterior wall where the cup forced itself up. There is a marked contrast between the coarse exterior wall and silky smooth interior.
Cedar Cups are classed as uncommon - rare in the UK.
BEST VIEWED LARGE.
The next cup sketch in the months' challenge...actually a 'mug'..... heavier and more rugid than a cup...maybe! Composition book art with watercolor, sepia ink, black Noodler's ink.
Cup & Ring
The main stone at the Nether Largie stones in Kilmartin Glen with its cup and ring marked surface. Just before the sun drops behind the hills it highlights the carvings just at the right angle to show them off to their best.
