Mixed media - wire and wool crochet cuff bracelet with added fire-polished beads. Created for the UK Challenge theme of clouds.
Silvery grey and blue Firefly yarn has been added to the back of a silverplated wire crocheted cuff bracelet. Shades of blue fire polished beads added as raindrops for the finishing touch.
after asking twitter for advice, I sucked it up and did the cuff as called for in the pattern. my cable needle is a tapestry needle.
A friend of mine worked on this cuff recently and a few other metal pieces. he came by for some shots of his jewelry and I stole these pieces and did some quick shots with them.
This cuff is based on a repurposed blue cotton cuff and it's embellished with a liberty print floral remnant, a piece of blue linen a textile vintage (stained!) button, a blue lace trim and a small ribbon loop. I also incorporated some hand stitched details.

Each cuff is unique and one of a kind. Made by hand from pure stainless steel, garment grade leather and other materials.
This cuff is made from an antique drawer pull, linked on vintage chain and adorned with a vintage faux pearl.
This is one end of a chain link cuff-link. The face is deeply engraved with a stiff rose like design within an octagonal recessed border that follows the shape of the cuff-link. The plate appears to be made from a cast brass base which was then, probably, silver plated. The link is badly corroded. The reverse appears to be plain. No makers mark or other mark of any kind can be seen. Measures 16mm. across x 1mm. thick.
This artefact was found, along with other items, on the surface of a rubbish dump near to Kendal, exposed after the flooding caused by Storm Desmond. Judging by the design, and other finds made, the first half of the 20th century would seem about right for its manufacture.
This is a unique wrist cuff made from a recycled wool sweater. It has a soft polar fleece lining. I added blanket stitching around the edge and appliques.
This bracelet has a lot of Bling!
It measures 71/4" by 3/4" and has a Loop and elegant black button closure.
The bead stitch is called the Herringbone. One of my favorites! I used a beautiful Bronze Iris Japanese Hex cut Delica glass seed beads. The Hex cut is what makes this Beaded Cuff Bracelet have so much Bling and Sparkle.
I have used very strong beading thread. Beadwoven jewelry is not like metal jewelry so care is needed for it to become a Keepsake Treasure.
This is the second cuff for the group. I had a hard time getting puzzle pieces on such a small scale, but I still think this cuff turned out really well.

Cuff Bracelet Purple/Olive - Olive green triangle Myiuki beads are hand sewn one bead at a time into a peyote stitch bracelet. There is a hint of purple on each of these beads. The edge of the bracelet is made with transparent purple Myiuki seed beads and the triangle beads. The closure is a hand sewn beaded toggle. The bracelet measures 7 1/3" long and 1 1/2" wide.
