Art Swap: Cuff for Beckah. This is my absolute favorite creation, possibly of all time. Beckah and I are both bleeding heart charity workers (though we prefer to be called nonprofit professionals), and share a passion for peace and social justice. We've got the master's degrees to prove it!
I found the peace sign in a new age shop in Eastown, and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! Luckily, I had just finished Dave's cuff, so I was ready for the challenge. The vines are hand mixed colors and embroidered with - get this - a quilting needle! Through faux suede! (My fingers are still sore.) The hearts were individually brick stitched and then sewn onto the fabric. Then, because I'm a glutton for punishment, I whip stitched the front, batting, and back together.
I LOVE this cuff. I think I'm going to make one for me!

It's 100 stitches around to fit my calf; all the decreases will be built in to the twisted rib panel at right, of which there is another on the opposite side. The double rose leaf panel is the centre back of the leg, and it'll go all the way to the bottom of the heel flap.
cuff your jeans to where you want them, cut that measurement in half and cuff again. i just eyeballed and marked it.
The cuff is less than an inch wide

Art and science, two very different parts of the human experience, have deep links and have long complemented each other. Here, woven into a dense organic body of glass beads in red, orange, green, grey and yellow are a fish vertebrae(Osteology), an abacus-like creation(Mathematics), a pair of junebug wing covers(zoology), a piece of raw citrine(Geology)and a single Swarovski crystal(clarity).
The bracelet is clasped with an artisan lampwork bead(Art).
All of the metal is sterling silver and the bracelet is stitched with Fireline for durability.

This wide cuff is perfect as a bridal accessory or just for a night out!
Clear seed beads are strung on seven layers of memory wire for this exquisite cuff measuring 3cm wide. Hand formed silver plated spacer bars keep the cuff together.
Silver plated headpins and chain are used to create a cluster comprised of : silver plated filigree beads, crystal and an assortment of glass beads in clear, silver, and pearl finishes.
So you like unique do you? Well, you've found it! This wide herringbone cuff is armed to the teeth! Very barbaric, very bold!
All of the teeth are fossils so no sharks were harmed in the making of this cuff. The gorgeous mako tooth is gem-polished and just over 2 inches (5.5cm) long. The 8 bull teeth are about an inch (2.5cm). All of the metal is sterling silver.
The entire centerpiece measures 3 1/2 inches (9cm) and the body of the cuff is 2 1/2 (6.5) by 6 3/4 inches (17cm).
The herringbone is woven in 8 shades of Miyuki gunmetal, steel, charcoal and grey. The beadwork is almost all you feel when the piece is worn. The teeth touch your skin on the top and bottom-- but these teeth don't bite:)

Knitted wire cuff. Silver coloured wire knitted, with black seed beads and black Czech glass beads scattered throughout. Black satin ribbon to finish.
One of my favorite pieces of jewelry is a souvenir from our post-Bicentennial (summer, 1977) trip to Colonial Williamsburg. The smith took a bar of half-round sterling silver and bent it to fit my wrist. Simple & classic: I still wear it.
This cuff tells the story of the Beatles through their discography. Acid etched into Sterling Silver is all of the albums the Beatles produced ending with the last line of their last song: "and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make." Raised above the text are portraits of the fab four. The whole peice is oxidized with a brush/matt finish.

This leather cuff blends the best of leather and beads. The thin brown leather strap, of 9 and half inches, sports a beaded wrap. The beaded wrap consists of opaque 24Kt gold-plated rainbow light rose delicas that create a transition of golds, pinks, and rose colors. This wrap creates a snake-skin like coverings that can be removed to change the look of the design. The thin leather strap can be slipped through loops on the larger leather cuff a little over 6 inches long. This creates a completely different look.
With this cuff you actually get 4 bracelets. You can wear just the leather strap. You can wear the leather strap with the beaded snake-skin cover. You can wear the leather strap with the leather cuff. And finally, you can wear the leather strap, beaded snake-skin, and the leather cuff.
