Silver Cuff Bracelet. Grab yours here: goo.gl/e42hRt Tags: bracelet, fashion, womens fashion, womens clothing, womens wear, women style

The front view of my multicolored cuff. All sequins and beads are from my "sequin pile," a bunch of sparklies left over from various jewelry projects. I put a good dent in the pile, but there's plenty left!

Machine and hand embroidery and beading on water dissolvable fabric. Blogged about here su-livingontheedge.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/holey-cuff.html

A delicate, floral pattern designed and stitched completely hand creates a unique and romantic cuff style bracelet. I started with a base of purple cotton basted to fabric interfacing and stitched an intricate, floral design in pinks, greens, teals and yellow tones using cotton embroidery floss. When the embroidery was completed, the cuff was backed with very soft pale tan leather and edged with matte metallic gold beads in a brick stitch edging. A sliding tube clasp was added and securely stitched on. The clasp is gold plated. Please note that the beadwork and edge stitching was all done with very sturdy nymo thread.

Dimensions: This cuff will wrap comfortably around a 7 inch (177.8 mm) wrist, and can be worn on wrists smaller than 7 inches. Due to the nature of the closure, the size cannot be adjusted above 7 inches. The cuff is 1.625 inches (41.3 mm) wide.

an expirimental design for a fabric wrist cuff, it ended up beign a bit big and sits a bit on my hand which I'm happy with as I sit hear wearing it. I was inspired by a few diffrent things (coffee cuffs and some leather cuffs , and some expensivecuffs on etsy that weren't quite my cup of coffee but it was a fun project and kept me from thinking about how freaking cold I am today.

Cuff made from lace and lots of vintage buttons. This is a first attempt but it hasn't turned out too badly! Blogged at:- vintagebunty.blogspot.com/

Brass cuff with polymer clay, iridescent mediums and sterling silver beads

For the 115 in 2015 Group - #4 A Craft

My Crumple Cuff is a modern example of the art and craft of the metalsmith. This is a solid silver wrist cuff, handmade by my great friend Laurie Kern who is an accomplished metalsmith. www.theadventuroussilversmith.com/

How it was made

Take a sheet of solid silver, about 3" high and carefully apply pressure until the metal folds and 'creases' to look like crumpled paper or material. When it is about 2" in height, stop and begin shaping it into a cuff that will fit the wrist. Solder on a border all round, and when it is completed use a special range of chemicals to create a patina and paint it on. Here the inside has a gold lustre (somewhat worn by constant use) and the outside has grey and gold lights to give an aged look. Then polish the high points until they gleam.

A cuff made this way is unique, and made to fit just you. The slight uneven off-vertical tilt is so that the cuff is comfortable to wear, as your wrist and arm are not straight up and down ;o)

The ancient craft of the metalsmith

The craft of working with all manner of metals has been with us for thousands of years. and the skills have been mixed with great artistry too - to give us ancient examples of weapons, jewellery and everyday utensils worked in gold, silver, bronze, copper and iron. We even date periods of history after iron and bronze!

Today we are used to mass-produced metal goods - but there are still people all over the world who work by hand, and craft individual pieces, using the knowledge that has been handed down, and keeping the ancient skills alive.
