Another eco print experiment this time with "seeded" eucalypus. I used slightly less fiber in covering the cuff armature and made a point of turning the piece over during the steaming process. It did steam on one side longer than the other which shows in the subtle background colors. I'm not sure if I will do any sewing on this piece. If I do, it may only be close to the edge to emphasize the cuff armature under the fiber.
These cuff links were my dad's. The engraving made an impression..... And obviously so did he. My plan is to offer them by Facebook drawing to my family members. I think it is time that I start sharing the many wonderful memories I have of my parents. It will be fascinating to see who would like to have them.

hooray, i have a left sleeve! and the cuffs may be one my favorite aspects of this lovely pattern -- it almost looks like jeweled bracelets. now i just need a right sleeve...

I had a day off today - it's a holiday in Germany and I used the day experimenting with unusual bracelet blanks
inside these are some UGLY old bracelets that I was about to toss--so covered the cores with thin sheets of black and textured them with Natalia Garcia-Leaniz' excellent CLay-Yo sheets and embellished them with strips of old skinner blends cut with zig zag blades. Not bad!
Kim's new formula for faux ivory is so good I couldn't tell if from the real piece (antique, of course) sitting on the table right next to it.
an expirimental design for a fabric wrist cuff, it ended up beign a bit big and sits a bit on my hand which I'm happy with as I sit hear wearing it. I was inspired by a few diffrent things (coffee cuffs and some leather cuffs , and some expensivecuffs on etsy that weren't quite my cup of coffee but it was a fun project and kept me from thinking about how freaking cold I am today.
