Problem (sorry hard to see with the busy fabric) - the outside edge of the cuff is pressed under at 3/8 inch. The inside is stitched to the sleeve at 1/4 inch. Therefore when I turn it in the right way and go to topstitch the outside down, it doesn't cover the stitching from attaching the inside. Do I have to kind of slide the whole thing down over the sleeve edge? Ideally the outside piece would have ended up slightly longer, not shorter, yeah?

This is a cuff I hand fabricated from copper and sterling silver. Unfortunately, I never got a picture of it as soon as I had polished it up -- so, it being copper and all, it's slightly tarnished already here (even with wax coated on the surface to help fight tarnish). I gave the copper texture and soldered sterling silver wire on the sides.
This boot cuff is based closely on the popular Orbit Cowl (a DesigningVashti downloadable crochet pattern).
It's begun much the same way and is crocheted in a spiral. Keep going to make it as long and slouchy as you wish. Looks good inside out too.

Two days ago we lost Jim. Yesterday, I lost Dale. We hadn't been able to make ourselves scarce, so the DM soldiers shot Dale on the spot and 'cuffed me so they could lead me farther into the base. Eventually, we came to what appeared to be a throne room. To my surprise, the person on the throne was the nefarious Dictator. He chuckled when he saw me kneeling on the floor with a gun pointed at the back of my neck and my wrists in chains. Then he told me how he lured me here and said that if I had ever seen an old movie (Alien vs. Predator) I would have known that the new heat source was a trap. He then told the guard to take me to cell LV-426 and to prepare me for tomorrow. While in the cell, a person that seemed to be a guard walked by. He stopped in front of my cell and began to gloat about me being the one in the cell and him being the one with the key. He said it had been almost a year since he had escaped from Pensicole. And then it dawned on me: this man was Hawkins, the DM sergeant that shot one of my men all that time ago. Except for the fact that he was now General Hawkins, so he had more power. He informed me that tomorrow, I would be tortured and then killed via a firing squad. He also said they'd leave my body lying in the snow, or that they might feed it to some snow wolves. With all of this, I know only a single thing for sure: I will not tell them anything.
