The contents of our second week from the Fresh Fork Market CSA:
- 2 lbs Hartzler salted butter from organic, pasture raised dairy cattle
- 1 lb spinach linguini pasta
- 1 bunch garlic scapes
- 1 bunch green onions
- 1 head Nancy leaf lettuce (similar to a bib or buttercrunch)
- 1 bunch spinach
- 1 quart Honeyoye strawberries
- 8 oz goat milk feta cheese
- 1/4 peck assorted apples (goldrush & holiday)
They were out of the green onions, but we were given some extra cheese & snow pea shoots. We also received our canvas Fresh Fork Market bag to reuse for each week's pickup.
June 3, 2011 shipment. Fresh Picks Double Box from Irv and Shelly's Fresh Picks. This box included local rhubarb, yukina savoy cooking greens, bunched Egyptian walking onions, gourmet salad mix, Thyme, asparagus, stuffing mushrooms, tomatoes (out of region), and gypsy peppers (out of region).
We also ordered a dozen large eggs (free range certified organic from Whispering Spruce Farm, WI), beef stew chunks (local), pork shoulder roast (local, humanely raised with no added hormones or antibiotics from Twin Oak Meats, Fairbury, IL).

A dozen eggs, 5(!! I swear I ordered only 3) cucumbers, a bag of green beans, a bunch of radishes, and a bunch of rainbow carrots.

How was it? Well, if they give me kohlrabi again, I'll probably make it again... this time with less dill, FRESHER dill, and maybe a different kind of apple (I used granny smith this time, and could barely taste it over the kohlrabi). And I'd probably toast the quinoa first before cooking. Other than that, it was good. :)

The Confederate Memorial for the soldiers from Columbia County, GA, who fought for the Confederacy in the War Between the States. Taken with a Voigtlander Bessa-L, with a Super Wide Heliar 15mm f4.5 Aspherical Voigtlander lens.

The CSA Welsh gathering 2014 took place at Flintshare CSA, Flintshire North Wales. Nestled in a gorgeous valley, CSA members camped at the projects Cilcain site for two days of talks, walks and delicious food.

oh, the bounty of it all! we joined the greenpoint williamsburg CSA a few months back and i've been waiting on pins and needles for weeks! finally the season has begun! i haven't been so excited to wake up on a saturday morning since childhood when cartoons lured me out of bed.
