I was leaving for a weekend work trip the day after our haul arrived last week. It was a cool night, so I made Smitten Kitchen's slow oven-roasted tomatoes. They were amazing and the leftovers are in the freezer to get pulled out later.

I love CSA.
I love supporting local farmers,
I love getting to know the places where so much good food is grown, and I love cooking and eating the freshest, most environmentally responsibly produced food possible.
On Friday night, most of the CSA conventioneers headed over to Pike Bowl for an fun filled evening of bowling.
So excited for the Community Sponsored Agriculture season to start again! I feel like we could eat all of this ourselves; but we have to share with my cousin and her roommate.
You can NOT KNOW how those strawberries almost didn't make it into the shot. My kid is a strawberry-crack head. He is, quite literally, standing right next to those, bouncing up and down, hyperventillating, and sort of crying b/c of The Absolutely Terrible Awful Miserable Waiting.
Don't feel too badly for him, he got to eat the entire quart by himself....because that's what summer is about.
Never did upload last year's final farmshare pic.
