Got fresh beans in my CSA box today. Fresh beans cook in about 25 minutes as opposed to the hours needed for dry ones. I added some chopped bacon, parsley, and about 1/4 tsp of the liquid from my jar of preserved lemons.

Shot this on my first roll through my new Rolleicord V with f/3.5 Xenar 75mm lens. Camera is a lot of fun, super easy to use, but needs a CLA on the slow speeds (like all of them from what I'm learning). I'm going to have to get used to the intense lens flare until I can get a hood.
The photo looks really over-sharpened at this size, but looks a lot more natural full size (1600px).

O Estádio Rei Pelé recebeu, na tarde deste domingo (8) de Dia das Mães, mais uma final de Campeonato Alagoano entre CSA e CRB. Os dois maiores times do estado fizeram o último e decisivo. Em campo, a vitória regatiana por 1 a 0 garantiu o bicampeonato ao Galo, que conquistou o seu 28º título. Neto Baiano, que havia marcado o segundo gol da primeira partida, acabou fazendo o gol da vitória alvirrubra neste domingo.

Community Supported Agriculture - CSA. We are supporting a local farmer by buying a share. We will get a "couples" box each week for 20 weeks. This is box one, a late start because of the cool spring, but we will get boxes each week until mid November now. In this week - lettuces, spinach, a parsley plant to grow on our deck, beets, onions and radishes. Great salad the first night and so fresh and tasty! We could not possibly have the variety we will get if we grew our own.
Delivery this week (clockwise from bottom left):

- 1 bunch mixed chard

- 2 eggplants

so much happier with this week's delivery. can't wait to try the leafy greens.

There are 70 confederate soldiers who died at the Battle of New Bern buried under this monument. Our cemetery guide told us something creepy about the vault where they're buried, but I can't remember what she said.
