Autocoutre Redefined - Art in Motion
Adobe Photoshop CS5 composite image combining E's portrait and the oxidised copper texture. First version.
"Spadina Avenue Chinatown Toronto"
"Nikon Nikkor AI 28mm f/3.5"
"Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT"
"Adobe Camera Raw 6.7 / Adobe Photoshop CS5 (Windows)"
All this photo needs is a watermark with a fancy hip design and I'll be one of those hipsters. Also, where can I get some expired film?
Adobe Photoshop CS5 has a new selection tool and it's quite badass! The image on the left is the original RAW NEF file from the Nikon D80. Viz was so-so and I was too far away from this freeswimming goby with the Micro Nikkor 60mm macro lens.
A crop, quick selection – I really edited this photo within 10 minutes alltogether – and 3 layers, some NeatImage noise reduction, an adjusted S-curve for more contrast, a quick dab with the sponge tool for saturation and you end up with the usuable image on the right. I didn't even read the selection tool manual. Just tried it. Pretty cool stuff!
