PROMPT:

Chimera at the Cryptid Taxidermy Museum in post apocalyptic Wonderland, in heaven everything is fine by lady in the radiator and brothers quay, painting by H.R. Giger, by Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Hieronymus Bosch, Alphonse Mucha, Art Nouveau, intricately detailed, hyperrealism, fantasy, imperial colors; Bogomils Universe

I'm hot for cryptids, so the Snallygaster boat is always one of my favorites. The Snallygaster is Frederick County's very own cryptid! She lives in the Middletown Valley.

Boat name: Snallygaster and Twins (shown in this pic are the twins, Sallygaster and Sullygaster)

Sponsor: Cicki & Ed Poole and Teresa & Thom Beckley

Charity benefiting: Sophie and Madigan's Playground

2019-2020: “Sailing Through the Winter Solstice”--an exhibit of lit-up boats that stay in Carroll Creek between mid-November through the first weekend in February. Each business designed, built, and named its boat and is organizing charity fundraising efforts connected to the light display.

This was the fourth year for this display and there were 16 boats: up from only one boat in 2016-2017, seven boats in 2017-2018, and 10 boats in 2018-2019.

On a whim I decided to take part in Inktober 2018 by making dodgy sketches of Cryptids featured on the wonderful podcast "The Cryptid Keeper". These are the results.

My submission for the Foot in the Door exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

Window Installation at Bear and Bird Gallery -- 160 Jay Street in Schenectady, New York -- October 2022.

We asked our old artist friend Skot Olsen, who now lives in Portland, Oregon and works as a tattoo artist - to do some silhouette illustrations of the creatures he creates. He provided us with a great trove of options so we could put together this fun window installation at our Jay Street location!

All of the illustrations are by Skot, but the window itself was laid out and built by me and my family! Brenda at Truly Yours Custom Framing in Glenville, NY helped out with a couple of the cut outs too!

We hope you got to see it in person and enjoy it!
