Boughton Crossing signal box by the Up Main line alongside Welford Road level crossing. Sunday 25th August 1968
Boughton Crossing signal box was a London & North Western Railway Company type 4 design fitted with a 20 lever frame. The last train ran on 15th August 1981 and the line was out of use from the following day. The line was officially closed along with Boughton Crossing signal box on 27th February 1984
The signal box carries a London Midland & Scottish Railway Company post-1935 design nameboard

An engineering occupation near Nymburk, Czechia in September 2024 required the closure of certain level crossings for associated work. In this view, Road 3318 was suitably barriered to prohibit traffic access while Škoda 'CityElefant' unit with power car 471 023 leading was about to pass, working the Os5823 from Praha Masarykovo nádraží to Kolín.

Tilikum Crossing is Portland's newest bridge over the Willamette River. Completed in 2015, the bridge serves pedestrian traffic, as well as bikes, light rail, buses, and other public transit. It is named after the Chinook word for "people", and is also known as the Bridge of the People.
Amtrak's Downeaster train races across a trestle in Scarborough Marsh during its run. While Scarborough itself is not served by this train, passengers can travel a few miles in either direction on US Route 1 to the next closest stop in either Old Orchard Beach or Portland.

In the tangle of streets, overpasses and underpasses between JR Osaka station and Umeda subway. This was taken on a public holiday, mind you.
I could've sworn I felt several earth tremors while I was standing on the bridge this shot was taken from. The whole structure swayed slightly each time, and i felt a rumbling under my feet. Then I went back another time and felt the same thing and it clicked - I was surrounded by rail lines, above and below ground. It was probably just the trains. Probably.

A freight train crossing the Bidassoa river on it’s way from Irún to Hendaye. The bridge it's on has two tracks, one with 1435 mm gauge and one with 1667 mm gauge. The train is using the 1435 mm gauge track and will continue into France. The bridge on the foreground is of Euskotren and has 1000 mm gauge.
Trains have not run through this crossing in Wakefield, MA in almost ten years. these signals might not be standing for much longer.
