A shot taken during a trip to Elgin Cathedral in Scotland.
"Begun in 1224, Elgin was the principal church of the bishops of Moray. It lost its roof shortly after the Protestant Reformation of 1560, and later its central tower fell. But the cathedral’s fortunes began to change when it became a visitor attraction in the early 1800s." (Words & further info: www.historicenvironment.scot/visit-a-place/places/elgin-c... )

Perhaps some will disagree but I count Crossbones Graveyard in London SE1 (Union Street and Redcross Way) as a hidden gem. In fact, it is more than that; a paupers graveyard with an extraordinary and poignant history, under the auspices of the truly wonderful Bankside Open Spaces Trust it is a present day garden of remembrance. A fence on the Redcross Way has a multitude of ribbons and notes commemorating those who were unheralded in often short lives. There is a special place for those who have lost infants and babies and a safe place for trans people.
All of this is recorded in a series of some of the happiest photographs I have taken for you to reflect on. I cannot recommend too highly an in person visit.
